22 oz bottle into a Seidel mug.
Pours a clear honeyed medium amber with a big 2+ fingers of creamy, slightly off-white head. Peters down pretty quickly into a thin, sturdy layer of retention that leaves a big cascade of lacing witch hangs into a sticky latticework. The aroma is pretty lively with a nose of toffee and bread with quite the firm and fresh bouquet of floral hops and spice.
The taste brings it too, with toffee and carmamel sweetness, bready notes, and a tingle of floral tasting hop bitterness for balance. Finishes sweet with an overall toasty feel. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a creamy carbonation and clean feel.
Solid Oktoberfest from Legend with full flavors and easy drinkibility. I should have picked up an extra bottle of this as I would definitely visit this again this fall.

First from this brewery, thanks to Kely for bringing this back from Virginia, no can date
Pours a large frothy foamy 2 finger head with med retention, then stops at 1/2 finger and just sits there, some lacing, hazy copper orange color
Nose sweet caramel malt, candy biscuity toffee malt, a bit of honey malt, then yeasty, a bit of raw dough, a touch nutty, very toasty
Taste more sweet flavors, caramel, biscuity toffee, toasted sweet bread crust, big time bread crust with a bit of honey drizzled on it, a bit of yeast and raw bread dough, med sweetness, hint of bitter hops, drier finish, touch more bitterness
Mouth is med bod, a bit syrupy sticky, med carb
Overall this is typical of the American style "Oktoberfest" that is nothing like a real Oktoberfest, all sweet malt, syrupy, candy like, no real hop presence, not well lagered or attenuated as there's some yeast as well, if they called it harvest beer or Fest style or something different then OK but calling it Oktoberfest is wrong

Overall: OK, but definite not one of my favorite Oktoberfests.
Look: Very clear, orange/amber color. Big-bubble head like alkaseltzer that dissipated quickly to bubbleless. Barely any lacing.
Smell: Unlike any Oktoberfest I've smelled. Some expected tang, but more on the sweet apple cider vinegar side. A faint aroma of buttered popcorn JellyBellys. Not much else.
Taste: Bready, sweet, very slightly sour, with a butter-flavoring-like taste. What is that?
Mouthfeel: Edging toward syrupy, but not quite there. Somewhat dead.

Pours nearly crystal clear and dark amber to red in color 1 1 1/2 finger head dissipates quickly leaving a ring around the glass that leaves nice lacing that quickly slides back down the glass.
Rich toasted malt aroma like molasses pancakes.
Taste of sweet toasted malt with caramel and just a hint of bitterness.
A bit over medium bodied with a light syrupy feel. Moderate persistent carbonation seems like it wants to be fizzy. A bit drying.
Not really what I'd call a sipper, but not an easy drinker either. It's kind of in between, but I like it. Nothing overly complex, but it's well done. Everything meshes together. It's well balanced. The taste and aroma both grew on me, and I really like the feel.

This is a review of a 12oz bottle. I don't see a date code anywhere.
Appearance: The body is a dark bronze color with hints of orange and brown. It has decent clarity and is only slightly hazy. The minimal white head shortly fades out to a featureless surface. No retention or lacing.
Aroma: There is a light buttered toffee aroma and nothing else.
Taste: The beer has a light caramel flavor with just a touch of bread flavor. No hop presence at all. There is just a bit of char at the end. The flavors are pretty faded though.
Mouthfeel: I wouldn't call the mouthfeel thick but it isn't quite clean either. It has just enough texture that you take notice of it; a bit of a chalky texture.
Overall: I really wouldn't call it a bad beer but it is at the point where it waffles between average and below average. It just isn't a quality beer. It is just very lackluster and there isn't much to say about it. It isn't a beer I would drink again or recommend.

12 oz. bottle into a pint glass
A - Frothy to slightly creamy head that is off white in color and tall with a moderately hard pour. Head dissipates somewhat quickly to a thin layer but more than lacing. Beer is clear and fluorescent amber in color. Moderate carbonation is visible (tiny bubbles, bubbles rise moderately paced). 4/5
S - Beautifully sweet caramel malt is backed up by a grassy hop note along with a bit of toasted white bread, biscuit, and Grape-Nut-O's cereal. 3.75/5
T - Caramel and a rich maltiness are the two notes that first jump out to touch my palate. Following the malt there is a bit of buttered wheat bread. There is a light fruitiness present, somewhat reminiscent of nectarines, but it is not overly powerful (more of a side note). At the end there is a rather noticeable grassy hop profile with a slight lingering bitterness but also a slight lingering sweetness as well. 4/5
M - Light carbonation burn up front transitions to a smooth creaminess and then to a slightly dry finish. Medium bodied and coats the tongue to linger in the mouth. 4/5
O - True to style Oktoberfest that is not overly heavy or light and is not overly sweet or bitter. Balance is well executed. Focus is definitely on the malt, which an Oktoberfest should be. 4/5
