served via hand pump in a pint glass. golden color, with thick foamy bone-white head. head stays to the very bottom of the glass.

both the aroma and taste were very mild. clean pale malt balanced with citrus and hop flavor. clean aftertaste. mouthfeel is very smooth with low carbonation, as expected from the cask serving.

overall a fairly average take on the style, and it seems the cask serving does it well.

Triumph-New Hope- Chico Ale

Appearance- Bright orange with a huge frothy white head.
Smell- Strong orange citrus hops and a nice sweet malt aroma.
Taste- Grapefruit and orange with a caramel malt. The body had a nice citrus flavor and an equal balance of bready, caramel malt.
Mouthfeel- Very sweet up front but quickly becoming dry with a nice pine bitterness finish.

Overall- A delicious Pale Ale. This might be THE best Triumph offering yet!!!

Here is the only beer I am comfortable to review a la memory from last night, gang. This was the best Triumph beer they offered.

Tastey hop and malt balance falling into the hop IPA style. I should have grabbed a growler for some better home reviewing. A great session beer. C'mon baseball season in that case. All above average in a decent offering. In a class by itself for a brewpub offering.

Beer is good. Happy beering.
