Had an opportunity to check this place out last weekend because a friend's band was headlining. Bottomline: This is a really cool place!
What others have already said about this place is true; it is a relatively small space. You'd think there wasn't enough space for a band, but there is. Bands set-up in front of the large windows, to the left of the entrance.
Anyway, they don't have an extended menu on weekends...only appetizers like fries, onion rings, etc., basically your common pub fare. We ordered the basket of fries and shared it between 4 of us. They were tasty, but that's the only thing I had to eat there.
Now, to the main stuff...the beer. Well, they have 15 beers on-tap and I had a chance to speak to the owner since he was working the bar for most of the night. I asked him how often he switched up the offerings and he admitted not as often as he'd like to. Even then, he had a decent selection on-tap: SN Celebration Ale, Abita Turbodog Porter, Eggenberg Pils, Anderson Valley Winter Solstice, Allagash White, and Chimay Red. They also had quite a few bottles, though I didn't have any, I was able to spot some Young's Double Chocolate, Fullers' ESB, etc.
Overall, this is a great cozy bar with great talent performing most nights. The place has a 1920s feel to it with the animated artwork and retro tables/lighting. A small venue that has great beer and allows for an intimate viewing of performing bands.

I live a block from this place, and everytime the front door opens- I hear the bands inside rockin out. So naturally, I had to give it a try. I was surprised at both the teeny-tiney space inside, as well as the gynormous selection of brew. I was excited to see Allagash White alongside Chimay Triple, and I ordered prompty. Of course, I couldn't help but cringe everytime the front door opened (shout-out to my roomies!), but next time I'm at home listening to the racket- I'll be sure that I've stopped by here first for a pint of two.

I stopped by just before the first Presidential Debate in need of fortification. Funky, laid back, good music playing, sparsely populated - my kinda place. When I asked for a Youngs SLA, I watched the bartender pour a foamy half pitcher and ditch it. "Fresh keg ?" I asked, "Nope, line clear - we do it before every session". A good sign and the SLA was excellent. I also had a Chimay Triple - one of GH's persistent taps - also tasty. The bar service was friendly but a bit slow, folks lined up to get beers at the bar. My freshly grilled chicken sandwich was just right. This place is the real thing, unlike the remote controlled zombie
I saw on the tube later that night.

Once upon a time, this was my favorite bar in Arlington. On the main drag through town, GH is actually just a little hole in the wall sporting a sign easily missed. The place is tiny, with no more than six or eight tables, plus a bar big enough for two or three stools. The decoration is hip and artsy, featuring lots of colors and bizarre paintings. They have live music on weekends, which I consider a drawback, as the place is too small to accommodate the sound. A dozen taps line up behind the bar, offering mostly local micros, always in excellent condition. This is a great place to drop in for a while.
