Pour out a slightly transparent, yet rich red color. Smells similar to the Lindeman's lambic, notes of raspberry and tartness. Tastes very similar to Lindeman's raspberry lambic, yet smoother. Mouth feel is light and smooth, less carbonated than other lambics, making for a more delicious drink. Drinkability is impressive, very tempting to either sip slowly or take big gulps for maximum flavor. Overall very similar to other lambics, but with less carbonation that provides a better drink.

A - Pours reddish brown with half a finger of tan head. Head quickly fades to a collar and leaving some small spots of lacing.
S - Big raspberry aroma, with some fresh berry, some jam and a bit of raspberry syrup. Has a decent tart character and a faint funkiness.
T - Starts with a nice tart raspberry flavor that is quickly supported by sweet raspberry. Never gets sickly sweet though, or too much like soda.
M - Medium mouthfeel, a bit fuller than I like for the style, but not syrupy sweet. Would be nice if this were drier, but it isn't unpleasant.
O - For the sweeter end of the lambic spectrum, this is actually pretty good. I would prefer a much drier offering, as the sweetness and heavier mouthfeel take away from the refreshing feeling of a good lambic.

Appearance: Raspberry juice color with a huge head that sticks and laces like a champ
Smell: Smells like a pint of raspberries
Taste: More sweet than tart, the raspberry flavors come through strongly from start to finish; lots of residual sweetness
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: While not as cloying as the Lindemans Framboise, this one is pretty close in its sweetness; I would prefer a more balanced Lambic

bottle, seems like 10 oz. or less.
Mostly clear burgundy red color, white lacing from the get-go.
Smells of hints of candi sugar and strong, fresh raspberries.
Tastes of sweet candi sugar and tart raspberry juice.
Light body with bubbly carbonation like a soda.
As a fruity lambic, one of the best I've had. I'm not a fan of the style except maybe when looking for something to accompany a chocolate dessert, but as it goes this one is top notch for what it is. Just the right level of sweet to tart balance and it tastes like real fruit juice, not the syrupy equivalent that comes across in some other fruit lambics. If you're looking for a good raspberry lambic, look no further.

Dark red-brown, small pink-tan head slowly shrinking to a foamy ring and wisps, a little weak lace.
Aroma is nice raspberry, bread crust, hint of yeastiness.
Taste is nice raspberry, juicy sweetness with some brown bread, light rustic yeastiness. It’s mostly lightly sweet with a little light tartness. It has an enjoyable, good flavour overall, with a full feel and it is better than the Cherish kriek. However, it is still very simple and fruity with little lambic rustic character coming through.

8.4oz bottle poured into a snifter.
A: Pours a relatively clear reddish/purple with minor chill haze...the head has shades of pink and fizzles quickly away.
S: Authentic tart raspberries and other fruits underneath...blackberry and sweet cherry....sweet malt, faint Belgian yeast.
T: Taste follows the nose, raspberries and raspberry juice, faint tartness mixing with pleasant sweetness, hint of yeast esters and malt body. Very balanced and restrained.
MF: Light to light/medium feel, moderate tartness, good carbonation.
O: Belgian yeast really stays in the background...not as tart as I thought it'd be...very sessionable.

A quick, slight head is light pink and leaves traces of lace. This lambic is a light ruby and translucent.
The aroma is sweet and fruity with raspberries and a hint of tart cranberry.
Balanced between sweet and tartness, though way off the chart for both. Once the palate adjusts, fruit, primarily raspberries, come to life. With warmth, tart berries take over. There is a long finish.
This is a clean and refreshing lambic with a medium body, lots of residual sugar and ample prickly carbonation.
An excellent desert beer for a summer afternoon. This would be perfect for a picnic with finger sandwiches or poured over vanilla ice cream. Any delicate occasion would be complimented, though this beer itself is far from subtle. I enjoyed it from a Cherish snifter.
I can imagine this would easily replace mimosas during Sunday brunch.

250 mL bottle tried 17 Oct 2010. Served in the 0.4 L Steiner Pils snifter (why didn't I use one of the 0.2 L glasses?).
Small pinkinsh head. Well carbonated. Deep dark maroonish red, almost opaque. Aroma is all raspberry, more sweet than tart. Taste is pretty much all raspberry too, sweet and tart. Light body, light alcohol. Juicy tart finish and aftertaste.
Like a lighter, less complex version of NG Raspberry Tart.
Damn you, unentered reviews. Bought this again in Dec 2011 because my memory sucks...

Pours a murky dark red with a 1 inch fizzy white-red head that settles to a slight film on the top of the beer. Small chunks of lace slowly slide back into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of raspberry juice, raspberry puree, and raspberry jam. Taste is of sour raspberry candy and sour raspberry juice. The aftertaste gets sweeter on the palate after each sip. This beer has a very crisp mouthfeel and gives a slight acidic burn in the throat after each sip. Overall, this is a good lambic that is much more sour and acidic than other raspberry lambics I have had before (like Lindemans Framboise on the opposite end of the spectrum).

A: looks like liquidy strawberry jam with a thin white head. Didn't see a pink or rose colored head that has been aforementioned in previous reviews.
S: sweetness, hint of funk, with an abundance of raspberry. Very inviting.
T: this ones an easy answer: raspberry! A sweet with a tinge of sourness. Like an apple tartness.
M: thinner than juice but a juice like consistency with light carbonation.
O: very pleasant and I would definitely buy this again. I also want to try the other lambics they brew.

-crimson in color with a very clear body. there is a pink head atop this that doesn't leave much in the area of retention or lacing
-big time raspberry on the nose with a hint of sweet tarts in the background
-mmm...i love me a nice blackberry pomegranate juice squeeze! a little bit more of the acidity comes as the more you drink it, but overall that aspect is very mild
-it has the right amount of carbonation and a bit of dryness to it
-this is a fine beer and glad i tried it, but i don't really need to buy more despite the alcohol level of this juice squeeze
