This beer is listed as a Tripel, but I'm not sure if it really is. It certainly tastes like one, but it's ABV is low for a Tripel. To me it's a "Tripel Light".
Anyway - I bought this as part of a Belgium sample pack, and I only have one. I think this beer is really good. It has a great start, and finish. Due to the high alcohol content of many Triple's they tend to have a strong finish, but not this one. The 8% ABV really mellows it out and gives a velvet smooth taste all the way through.

This is a great tasting beer.Yeasty with a good after taste.Reminds me of being in Belgium.Very foamy and a nice orange gold appearance.Poured into a cold tulip mug.Going to have another right now.Reminds me a lot of a DeKonink triple.Definetly a beer I would like to try on draught.

A: Nice retention. Decent head Cloudy from loose yeast.
S: Smell of alcohol together with complex fruit and phenol. Some coriander and fruit esters.
T: Much better with 2nd bottle. First bottle must have been bad. Balanced flavor profile.
M: Good finish.
Very enjoyable second time. Will purchase again.

Poured into a chalice. Pours hazy golden with a big white head. Plenty of tiny bubbles can be seen rising from the side of the glass. The head retains very well for such a big beer. The aroma is bright. There are roasted malts, candi sugar, apples, pears, and citrus. There is that typical Belgian yeast aroma. The flavor is bready from the malts and the yeast and also mildly sweet. I also pick up those fruit flavors I found in the aroma, but not as strongly. The hops bring a subdued floral flavor to this beer as well as some balance. There is some tartness on the back end. The alcohol is masked in all those flavors. It's very well balanced. The body is medium with moderately high carbonation. The finish is crisp and slightly dry. This is a solid sipper. This is an excellent beer.
