Tried this beer after seeing it in a shop in belgium. Really cool label.
A: Dark, rusty brown color with tan foam that leaves perfect lacing down the glass. Tiny champagne bubbles float quickly upwards.
S: Slightly aromatically challenged, although there is a bit of candied dry fruit, some nice malt and grain aromas. Belgian candy and a tinge of metallic odors are present as well.
T: Feels a little light in the mouth. Good sweet fruit flavors and lively carbonation. Little hop flavor, but a nice malty aftertaste w/ hint of a bitter aftertaste which I'm not a huge fan of.
Solid beer, although nothing to write home about. If you are in belgium and see this beer, give it a try.

Coming in a short 330ml brown bottle, BB 02/08/09, served lightly-chilled in Hapkin's tulip-shaped bowl sniffer.
A: pours a deeply dark mahogany hue with a tremendously huge head of beige colour, on top of rather high level of carbonation.
S: a thick yet beautiful bed of fruit esters full of strawberries, prune-liquor, savoury-sweet hawthorn-fruit candy, creamy as well as caramely malts, and leather comes on top of an irresistible flow of aromatic dark sugar firmly lurking underneath.
T: an semi-effervescent entry of spicy-bitter and damp-sour yeasts lead the way, followed by a chewy palate of brown malts, spicy/chewy/herbal hop bitterness, a lightly rusty & savoury touch... Remotely, a semi-dark-candy malty touch and boiled red-bean paste manage to linger well, but constantly a chewy, savoury-yeasty palate also stays.
M&D: fluffy upfront, never too fizzy, but the overall carbonation comes somewhat abrupt for the moderate flavour profile. This beer is tasted right after the absolutely marvellous Gouden Carolus Classic, so I wouldn't say my palate is not tainted somewhat by the previous glass of heaven. If the yeastiness tunes down a little, this might have been more enjoyable and balanced.

BB 21-06-07. Nice and lasting yellow head and a dark brown beercolour. Nose is caramellic, ripe plumbs, koreander and litle sour cherrie but also some sweet corn in there. Taste is strong, pale and heavy phenolic bitter with some carramellic sweetness. Not overdone in any way but pale taste makes only avarage mouthfeel together with the good carbonisation. Drinkable but IMO nothing special.

Bottle best by date: 6/17/05
Appearance: huge layer of fluffy/creamy tannish head, great bands of lace, chestnut brown hue
Aroma: big malt, caramel, heavy cream, wintery spices, a bit of sour apple, bready
Flavor: malty and sweet front, spicey (cinnamon? all-spice?), slight hop flavor, a touch of tanginess towards the semi-sweet finish, wintery spiciness in the aftertaste, MALTY
Mouthfeel: medium body, spritzy carbonation, blooming alcohol warmth
Overall Impression: A lively one! Started bubbling up as soon as I popped the cap. Difficult to pour it without getting massive head! I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Funky label and difficult name. Could have been a real dud, but it wasn't. Big time malt in this guy!
