Labatt Blue Light was introduced in 1983 as a lower-alcohol, lower-calorie version of Canada’s most popular brand. Blue Light uses specially selected North American aromatic hops and the same strain of lager yeast as the one used to produce Labatt Blue. The result is a crisp, clean and delicately balanced beer, with a slight sweetness and citrus-like hop character.

11.5 oz bottle poured into a Pilsner glass. No date on the bottle.

A - Clear, deluded yellow with an extremely effervescent, small head that didn't even reach a finger before disappearing instantly into nothing at all. Yeah, that also means absolutely no lacing at all. Not even a ring.

S - Skunky - almost light-struck - aroma with awful adjuncts. No hint of real beer ingredients. Straw and grains comprise the whole aroma that's already faint anyway.

T - Wow. There is so little flavor here I almost taste absolutely nothing at all. This has the smallest touch of grain and straw with a pinch of sugar. Wtf. At least without flavor it can't be offensive.

M - This beer is so carbonated it completely gets in the way of flavor. Light, crisp, and refreshing cause it's practically calorie-rich water.

D - Finally a category this beer can actually score something on. The ONLY thing going for it is mass consumption cause everything else sucks horribly.

This also begs the question, why the hell would you even want to drink it? Either have water or have a MGD64. About half the calories of this beer and twice the flavor.

When I had Labatt Blue light it was on tap at a bar. The coloring was a light yellow/clear and I had the aroma of corn in it for sure and a little malty. The taste was a little blan probably because it was light and not just Labatt Blue. It was also medium carbonated.

From my next door neighbor.

Poured from a can into a mug, served at fridge temp.

yellow with 1 finger white head that disappears. No lacing.

aroma hops & yeast.

mouthfeel: thin

taste: malt with some corn sweetness, not much hops. Faint mustiness on the aftertaste.

notes: this is product. weak, insip, boring. hated it. Amazingly this beer sells like crazy here in Rochester which makes no sense as Genny is much better, and a lot cheaper.
