Notes:
Labatt Blue Light was introduced in 1983 as a lower-alcohol, lower-calorie version of Canada’s most popular brand. Blue Light uses specially selected North American aromatic hops and the same strain of lager yeast as the one used to produce Labatt Blue. The result is a crisp, clean and delicately balanced beer, with a slight sweetness and citrus-like hop character.

When I had Labatt Blue light it was on tap at a bar. The coloring was a light yellow/clear and I had the aroma of corn in it for sure and a little malty. The taste was a little blan probably because it was light and not just Labatt Blue. It was also medium carbonated.

From my next door neighbor.
Poured from a can into a mug, served at fridge temp.
yellow with 1 finger white head that disappears. No lacing.
aroma hops & yeast.
mouthfeel: thin
taste: malt with some corn sweetness, not much hops. Faint mustiness on the aftertaste.
notes: this is product. weak, insip, boring. hated it. Amazingly this beer sells like crazy here in Rochester which makes no sense as Genny is much better, and a lot cheaper.

A very clear straw color. Looks like a light ginger ale.
honey malt and lots of corn and a starchy aroma. Almost has a wax smell to it like an unscented candle.
Very sweet with a little bit of corn. Sort of like frosted flakes with a tiny bit of hop flavoring thrown in.
Very light feel. Watery and high carbonation like soda.
For a major light lager, it's not bad compared to some of the others. It lacks flavor. Just mostly sweet and light.

A - Average see through yellow with a massive white frothy head. Left little lacing.
S - Corn, rice, malt. Less than most light lagers.
T - Light corn, seltzer water, slight malt
M - Heavy carbonation with a medium body
O - Overall, this was a less than standard light lager that I wouldn't buy again. You can get a " Value Pack " at Kroger which consists of twenty cans for eleven dollars. This is something that you bring to a party for everyone else, That way nobody asks for ( And usually wastes ) your good beer.

Labatt Blue Light is exactly that -- light. Much like other macrobrew light beers, there isn't much of anything to speak of. Very little flavor (some grains, corn maybe) which is overpowered by carbonated crispiness. The beer has a faint grain/wheat smell, it's incredibly thin bodied, and is extremely clear in color with a soft yellow hue. No head retention - but most of the time you're not drinking this for it's appearance, taste, or smell. You're drinking this because it's cheap and you want beer.
Marginally better than a Bud Light, but still, this is probably closer to water than it is to beer. Not much happening at all.

Labatt Blue Light has a thick, white head and a clear, bubbly straw appearance, with minimal lacing left behind. The aroma is light, sweet malt and sugar. Taste is of lightly-roasted barley malt, sugar, sweet grains, and just the slightest touch of hops. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Labatt Blue Light finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and dry. This is an exceptional light beer.

I love this beer. It is affordable and gets the job done when needed. I live in Tennessee and am happy to find it at my local Krogers now. I used to only get it when visiting family in Michigan. The thing I love about going up north is that in the winter, we leave the beer outside and it is the perfect temperature. I love it when it is slushy.

as the crappy light mass market stuff goes, i dont hate this in a bottle thats ice cold. drafts and cans of this are almost intolerable, but the bottle can work on a hot day out in the boat or something. golf course maybe. pours watery pale yellow like so many beers like this do, decent head though. smells like basically nothing, just some weak generic malts. flavor is refreshing at least, but it has nothing intersting to call out. quick snappy finish probably helps it sell as well as it does. mouthfeel is very light and a little too carbonated, but i will give it high marks for drinkability. overall its a step up from a budlight, but so is everything. only when i have to...

Poured from can into glass.
Appearance: Almost clear. Slight hint of yellow. Too much light white head that lasted seconds with heavy lacing on the glass.
Smell: Almost no smell. Maybe some sugars and alcohol.
Mouthfeel/Taste: Very light bodied and drank like water. Hints of some malts and other grains...maybe rice. Alcohol taste was the strongest flavor and that was light.
Overall: To be honest, do not care for this beer. However I could enjoy it on a very hot day with no other drink available.

Pours clear pale yellow with a small white head with poor retention. Smells somewhat like corn and like nothing else. Talk about bland.
Tastes somewhat like corn and grain, but mostly like water. Why bother to make this? Why did I bother to drink this left over beer flavored water?
Thin bodied, average carbonation. Doesn't have much in the way of aroma, taste, or character. A failure of a beer in about every way possible.

Served in a bottle at Admiral's Club at YYZ (Toronto, ON)
A: Pours a crystal clear pale yellow with a moderate amount of visible carbonation. The beer has a half finger tall fizzy white head that reduces to a thin patch and thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate lacing is observed.
S: Very sweet aromas of adjunct malts - including both grains and corn - along with a very light hint of hops.
T: Again, the flavor follows the smell of this beer... Light flavors of adjunct malts featuring both sweet grains and malts. There are some slightly skunky hints to the flavor of this beer and a light hop bitterness in the finish.
M: Served extremely cold, the mouthfeel was very light and thin/watery with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: Very light an easy to drink and refreshing when it is really cold. Sessionable but not a beer that I'm going to go back to often - maybe best served when fishing. Definitely recommend drinking this beer when it is very cold.

Pours a translucent, golden yellow with a ton of carbonation rising to the top. There is some loose, soapy head when first poured but it quickly fizzes away to nothing. The smell is incredibly faint; sweet and grainy. The flavor is a little more than I expected. It's light and hardly intense, but lightly grainy and grassy with just enough hop character to keep me interested. The mouthfeel is very light and crisp.
This isn't a great beer, but for the style it has more flavor than most others. It's drinkable and refreshing. This isn't my style of choice, but this is a light beer I wouldn't mind having again.

Poured from can into pint glass
Appearance – The brew has light golden colored body and formed a large head upon pouring. The head faded fast giving almost no lacing.
Smell – Not much in the nose at all. A little bit of breadiness and some corn, but not much else.
Taste - A very light corn taste with the slightest bit of sweet caramel.
Mouthfeel – Very light bodied and a moderate level of carbonation. It is kind of like drinking a flavored seltzer water, but with a bit less carbonation.
Overall – As for light beers, this is not the greatest to say the least. If you really want a light beer do something like a Sam Adams light or a other lower abv. beers (such as Guinness Draught). This is not the best.

To be honest, this isn't far off of a Labatt. I guess as far as macro light beers go, it's not hideous. There's a mild maltiness to it, some wheat. Kind of sour and a mist of skunk to it.
The color is clear straw and bubbly, with something of a head and no lacing. Malt scent. Basically what you would expect.

Labatt Blue Light is number two....gonna drink it with my left over pizza. The beer pours a clear yellow color with an intial foamy white head that dissapates to nothing. The smell and taste is typical...grain with mild hop just enought to attempt to balance the beer. The mouthfeel is light and carbonation is big. Overall is typical....drinkable....but not notable.

A - super clean straw color. soda like fizz with a small quickly fading head that leaves no lacing
S - there really isn't one. a bit of grain, kinda skunky.
T/M - there is a really off putting sour graininess to the nose. light and clear with little flavor.
O - when you've gotta drink something, drink something else.

Appearance – Clear pale yellow colour with an above average size fizzy white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is almost no lacing. The head didn't hang around for long.
Smell - Grains, bread, corn, malts
Taste & Mouth - The beer has an above average amount of carbonation. I can taste malts, light hops, and lots of corn. There really isn't a whole lot of taste going in here.. just grains/corn. It ends with a grainy slightly bitter aftertaste.
Overall – It's odd that this beers slogan used to be 'If I wanted a water, I'd ask for it'.. it's actually pretty watery and tasteless It also has too much carbonation. Not something I intend on having again, but I didn't turn it away when someone offered me it.

what can i say? you gotta drink some shitty ones to really appreciate the great beers. found this in my fridge and what the hell? figured its worth atleast a review.
11.5oz brown twist off bottle at fridge temp poured into a pilsner glass. doesnt appear to have any sort of bottling date. there kind of making a joke of themselves by calling this a "canadian pilsener".
pours out the most super clear straw yellow, slight golden hue. super fizzy white head that went to nothing within minutes. looks like your average macro lager.
hardly anything to really pick out. metallic corny grains, a bit of lagery mineral water.
mineraly water, nasty corny grains, sweet, just slightly tart. you can tell its a lager.
lots of sparkly fizzy carbonation, leaves a nasty adjuncty taste in your mouth after each sip. super watered down, light mouthfeel.
overall, my score pretty much says it all "not impressed". im sure ill be drinking this just to "fit in" and "look cool", but i will never ever buy this. i would however support labatt over AB anyday, but thats not saying much.

A - Meh. Nothing impressive, nothing too offensive (except for maybe the head, or lack thereof). Wouldn't say it looks like a healthy urine sample.
S - At first, it was okay, then it almost smelled like nothing, but then... ugh. It's like hops and ammonia. I don't really want to drink this now.
T - Well it's like seltzer water with a hint of hops. That much I can sort of taste on first swig. But the flavor catches up on the aftertaste. Wicked grainy, cereal flavors suddenly assault the taste buds. Am I having fun yet?
M - Barely any feeling at all. Really it feels more like I'm stalling so I don't have to get that aftertaste... which is a good thing I guess.
O - To be fair, it didn't offend me as much as I thought. It's certainly not as boldly offensive as regular Labatt Blue. If I had a choice between the two, I'd pick this BECAUSE of the lack of flavor.
This is not a fun way to get buzzed. I'd rather slam a shot of Jack Daniel's then do push ups. And I am NOT a whiskey guy. I feel like I'm at a really boring, really stupid party when I have this. Give me a beer I can have the least bit of passion for.

12 oz bottle supplied to me by a well meaning relative.
If "flavorless" were a style of beer this one might achieve better rankings. It's like a bunch of Canucks sat around saying " Oh, this Labatt Blue is too strong, ay? Let's add some water, dontcha know"
Bland, pale maltiness is a little corn-like.
Color is almost non existent. (Is this actually beer?)
Mouth feel is that of slightly flat club soda.
Avoid. Unless of course, as in my case, a very nice old lady insists you have a cold beer and relax. (Well meaning relative)

Bottle poured into a pint glass.
I am out of good micro/craft brews and the recent home brews are still a bit green, but this was in the fridge.
A: Very pale piss yellow color. The died almost as fast as it had formed.
S: Almost undetectable. Some sweetness and adjunct/corn aroma.
T: An extremely light flavored beer. Very watery in flavor with a minimal sweetness and husky grain to it. No hop bitterness detectable at all.
M: Water with stinging carbonation.
O: Let's face it, for the most part adjunct lagers are the same thing across the board, but this one is definitely not very good. So watery it is even hard to call this one beer. I can understand how they can sell millions of these though, as your average beer drinker loves these light drinking and thirst quenching alcoholic beverages. Not a good beer. Not a good beer at all. But it was in my fridge so I drank it.

Pale yellow beer with a fleeting, foamy head. Dry grain aroma with some faint bready notes. Flavors of grain and grass. Very dry, taste that alternates between tangy and watery. I feel like I'm drinking a really bad adjunct lager that's been watered down to mask the flavor. This stuff is just...lousy.

Grabbed this at some random shit bar I don't even remember the name of.
The beer pours a sickly looking thin straw yellow color with a thick white head and actually a little lacing. It smells of crisp recently husked corn and some hay bales. Just like I imagine Kansas to be. Tastes of corn and sweetness. Unrelenting sweetness. Mouthfeel is thin, watery, and heavily carbonated. Overall, it isn't the worst beer in the world, but it certainly isn't good at all.
