Notes:
Labatt Blue is the best-selling Canadian beer in the world. Introduced in 1951 as Labatt Pilsener, it was named for the colour of its label by fans of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers football team. Blue was the first brand in Canada with a twist-off cap and won the silver medal in the International Lager category at the 1998 Brewing Industry International Awards. Labatt Blue, brewed using specially selected aromatic hops, is a well-balanced, fully matured, full-flavoured beer with a fruity character and a slightly sweet aftertaste.

Appearance - excellent golden amber, with thin white head
Smell - smells like the typical "beer". slight hops. very strong odors
Taste - malty, hint of sweetness
Mouthfeel - more than the average dryness, does leave you wanting more
Overall - classic beer, reminds me of hockey and enjoying a game with a cold one

Labatt Blue on draft. Pale gold color. Pristine clarity. Nice fluffy white head. Sitting strong, too. And, there's some nice lacing.
Pale malts that include corn. Lightly sweet vegetable quality matched with clean grain and a touch crisp hops. Mild DMS.
Pretty clean. Some corn malts interfere, but not obnoxiously. Great lagered flavor for what it is. Only slightly tangy. Rather dry for the style.
Very carbonated. Brute bubbly feel overtakes the thin body. Not as mismatched as other adjunct lagers.
Approving of this staple. Will enjoy from time-to-time. You know what it is.

A: thin white head on a clear straw colored body.
S: sweet corn and grains. Typical.
T: very very watery up front. Sweet corn comes in at the finish with mild hints of lemon. Mild grain notes throughout. Nothing offensive though.
M: light body and high carbonation.
Overall: not offensive but also lacking on flavor may it be offensive or not. Overall drinkable and about what I expected.

Labatt has always been my go to macro lager and it remains so today. Better than Canadian and it's American cousins, in my opinion.
Pours pale yellow with white foam, on tap it usually lasts for a few minutes, from the bottle not so much. Very clear and visible carbonation.
Sweet malty taste, a bit of grainy bread, no hops, a bit metallic in the finish.
Good carbonation, slightly watery but really feels pretty smooth on the mouth.
Very drinkable beer, a bit watery.
Tastes better than most of its adjunct competition and (in Canada) is usually a bit cheaper as well. If I'm looking for 24 beers for 29.99 to drink on a summer afternoon at the beach, rather than better stuff at 2 bucks or more a pop, I'll reach for Blue

Had on draft.
Arrived a clear straw yellow with a one finger fizzy white head that was quick to fade. No lacing.
Smell way grape soda and cereal grain.
The flavor was very grapy which I though was odd. As the beer warmed the grape faded and cereal grain became more evident along with some corn. There was the tiniest amount of bitterness in the finish.
Overall this beer is not very good. The whole grape thing was just odd and there are better alternatives out there for AAL's.

A - pours with a small head of white foam on top of a clear, golden body. The had disappears rapidly and leaves only traces of lace.
S - grainy malt and a hint of corn.
T - grainy sweetness up front, a hint of spicy hops in the middle and a dry, lightly bitter finish.
M - light body, moderately high carbonation, and a very dry finish.
D - light and neutral, it us hard to say anything about this beer, good or bad. A generic adjunct lager.

A. A light pale yellow with a thin off white head that had a little lacing and retention and well carbonated.
S. Has the typical grains and malt smell that most mass produced Canadian and American commercial beers have.
T. The taste is a grainy and biscuit taste with some hops in the back to give your tastebuds some kick.
M. A very clean, crisp and easy drinking beer.
O. One of the very few commercial beers out there that I would buy again when I am low in money. The best AAL out there.

Draft
Appearance – Clear yellow colour with a small size fizzy white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is almost no lacing. The head lasted for around 3 minutes before it was gone.
Smell - Malts, bread, corn
Taste & Mouth - The beer has an above average amount of carbonation. I can taste bread/grains and malts. There is a corn syrup sweetness as well. The beer finishes with a grainy slightly sweet aftertaste.
Overall – My hockey team swears by pitchers this stuff after games.. I guess it serves a decent purpose in the refreshing/cheap beer department. Not something I would select.

Beer pours a yellow. The color is noticibly darker than your usual American lager.
The smell is nothing much, maybe a little hoppy.
The beer's taste is initially sweet, almost apple juice like. The finish is refreshingly bitter.
Overall, not a bad beer. Goes well while watching hockey.

I kind of wanted a Canadian adjunct to be better but it's was average at best. Poured a bright clear yellowish gold. Almost no head to speak of. Smelled of rice and water. Chemical even. Taste was not so bad, refreshingly crisp. Did have a dry, rice like quality but drinkable. Overall, a drinkable adjunct but unimpressive on a good day.

Tried for the first time while at Comerica Park in Detroit for a Tigers game. The beer appeared a light golden amber color with a nice white head that held up nicely that dissipated into a thin spotty cap. The aroma was kind of typical, light and grainy. The taste of the beer was better than expected (maybe it was just because I was at the ballpark), but I felt that it was strong than most in its class, but still grainy with no real hint of hops. It has a light feel, was clean, crisp, easy to drink and very refreshing and enjoyable. Overall, not a bad beer by any means.

On tap poured into a pint glass.
Pours a very clear light yellow color with a very small white head and no lacing. Nose is just adjuncts and a bit of alcohol.
Taste is corn and a light bitterness, but not of the hop variety. Very bland, light and tame. Skip it.

Had this on tap in Buffalo right before crossing back to Ontario. $1.25 for a draft beer (I think 12 ounces) isn't a bad deal. This is even a fancy import (a whole 200 metres from Canada!). Pours a pale yellow colour with a finger of solid white head. Head doesn't dissipate at all, almost no lacing on the glass. Smells a bit grainy, pretty clean (ie. non-existent) for the most part. Small bitterness in the flavour. I suppose this beer is fine if you are thirsty.

One of my favorites living up here in northern New York right next to the Canadian border!
A- Out of the tap this beer just looks delicious yellow straw color looks like what a beer is supposed to look like.
S- Blue can smell a bit skunky sometimes especially if you let it get the least bit warm.
T- Delicious one of the best thirst quenching beers out there especially after outside all day in the hot sun but once again if it gets the least bit warm it gets skunky.
M- Mouthful is good not thick slightly watery but pretty good.
D- Goes down extremely smooth could drink it all day!

Reviewed from notes.
Poured into a pint glass. Golden color with a white head that stays around for a bit at a single finger. The nose is a bit of light grain and some husk. The flavor brings a few too many grain husks. Light body with a lot of carbonation. Drinks well enough, but not all that good.

Pours a clear yellow color with a white head. Head falls to a very minimal one. Thin lace.
Smells clean, real clean. I mean I'm getting my nose deep in this glass and coming up with nothing.
Typical adjunct lager taste but very light. Thin taste, corn and filler and quite watery.
Somewhat smooth with a carbonation bite.
Not great. Not much taste. Not worth it.

Served in a pint glass and on tap
Labatt Blues' body was a clear light golden color and had a 2-finger bright white head that shrunk in no time to produce limited lacing. The nose and taste is of grain, very light hops [and bitterness], fizzy carbonation and has a clean, crisp and dry finish making for better than average drinkability.
I first drank Labatt, my first Canadian beer years ago at a Red Wings game at the old Olympia Stadium...so I guess I have a "soft spot" for the brew. Labatt Blue is a better than average Macro.

Let me preface this by saying I live not so far from Detroit, deep in the heart of Red Wing hockey territory, and you just can't get away with living here without chugging a lot of Labatt. I'm very partial to this beer as a constant (read: cheap) drinking buddy.
s- On tap, of course.
a- A pale golden/amber. Just a touch more dignified than domestic swill, and thus the theme is set. Light head fizzles away to nothing.
s- Pretty average. There's some above-average notes of hops and veggies, but just barely. Hop-hounds will slam you for even imagining there are hops here, but they really are.
t- See also, smell. This is actually pretty good for a cheap beer you can pound all night. The bits of hops and veggies mean this beer just screams to be paired with food. Unlike plain domestics (Bud-Miller-Coors), there's taste here to qualify it as more than just water. Not by much, but it's there.
m- Purely average, but that's not so bad. It's certainly above BMC, as there's just that little hint of texture that puts its toes over the line.
d- I tend to prefer my LaBatt one pitcher at a time, all night long. If you're restricted to bottles, you may need two hands. It's always available, it's always cheap, and it's better than the other domestics. Frankly, I like it.

This is not a favorite of mine by any means. It's too floral for it's own good, and it's trying to be different than the pack of Canadian Macro Lagers by having this floral characteristic so dominant in the brew. It's horrible for hangovers, so I do not recommend as a session beer unless you have an iron liver. The appearance on this beer is the only thing it has going for it in my opinion, which is average.

Pours a light yellow with a big foamy white head.
The smell is a very slight hop/malt mix. It doesn't smell offensive compared to other AAL's
The taste is a bit of malt and hops that finishes crisp and clean.
The mouthfeel is clean, medium bodied and highly carbonated.
Can easily, and many times have, pound back quite a few of these a night. This is my go-to AAL.

On-Tap at a party, this is a short review because there is not much to write about.
A- Light gold with yellow mixed in. A minimal sparse white head that faded quick like a bunny. No lacing.
S- Sorry, this smells like old corn with old expired knock off malt. These are all extremely light. Nothing more to see here.
T- Labatt is the most "carbonated water" tasting macro that i've ever had. No hops come out at all. Corn and malt. This really does not have a distinguishable taste, it's carbonated water no more no less.
M- Very crisp and light but not refreshing. This is also highly carbonated and it almost hurt my mouth when I attempted to sip it. I expected a smoother ride with the light nature of this style.
D- Not so much, could not finish my glass, I watered the nearby flowers with the rest of my ounces of this, hopefully they dont die.

After hearing good things about this beer from a few friends, I decided to try it and found it entirely...average and overpriced at that. Went out for my 21st yesterday. I ordered a pint of PBR at $1.50, then a pint of this at $2.75...disappointing that the PBR not only tasted better but was cheaper and went better with my burger.
A- Appearance, clear and light golden, completely average.
S- Smelled like a cheap macro, I like the smell, but it isnt great I admit.
T- Completely average. Slightly sweet corn taste with a slight hop-like bitterness to finish.
M- Seemed a little over carbonated to me, maybe due to the tap?
D- I could keep drinking this, but at the price why bother?
Looks, smells, tastes, feels, and goes down like a very very average macro. I'd go with any Pabst product before getting this again. Better than Bud or Miller, or no beer at all... but nothing exceptional here.

Appearance: Had a clear golden color with a 1 finger head that lasted a little while before dissipating.
Smell: A light sweet smell that might have been corn. But it's not overwhelming.
Taste: Had a slightly sweet start with a decent bitter kick at the end. The more I drank this beer however, it seemed to lose flavor.
Mouthfeel: Very light body with little carbonation.
Drinkability: It's not great, but in my opinion, it's better than some other American Adjuncts.

On tap at a bar without any beer selection whatsoever.
Completely transparent yellow, with a fluffy white head. Smell is corn and chemical, not much really there. Taste is light and watery. There is a minimal hop flavor if you are looking for it. Mouthfeel is very highly carbonated. Drinkability is average.
