Off the tap this beer was a dark amber/copper color with a thin skim of off-white head. The retention was weak but the lacing off the remaining collar was pretty good. The aroma was of citrus hops, bitter hops and doughy malt. The flavors were quite hoppy with lots of herbal bitterness, orange rind and a little grapefruit. Though the hop profile was good it lacked malt balance. The mouthfeel was average, the body medium and the carbonation acceptable for an APA.
