Been in Slovenia for just under two weeks and anything that's not a euro pale lager is soooo welcome (not that there's anything wrong with euro pale lagers). Actually visited Triglav national park today so when I was at the grocery store and saw this bought it. Pours crystal clear golden pils color. Poor head, when it was there it was egg shell. Then gone. Aroma is sweet perfume-y and some what soapy like a fancy bath salt. Flavor is grainy and fruity. Kinda pear like, little to no hops, faint sulfur, toasty, more grain. Clean and no alcohol burn. Plan mouthfeel, just middle of the road. Overall somewhat bland, but ok.

330ml bottle from Spar supermarket, Ljubljana (€1.43):
A really basic, cheap tasting imperial pils that I wish I'd avoided in all honesty. This one was a poor excuse for a beer, coming through far too sweet & packed with tonnes of alcohol. It wasn't quite up there with the worst lagers I've tried but it definitely got sickening towards the end & isn't one I'll be picking up again.

Got it from Slovenia, bottle 0,33l.
A - Pale, few bubbles, white foam leaving no lacing and staying no more then 10 seconds.
S - Malt and some citrus notes.
T/M - Too sweet aftertaste. This is strong lager with some strange sweetness. Not so warm, but high alcohol content is highly present in the taste. Some caramel malt in it.
O - I don't like it. To be honest, not my favorite style.

Pretty Belgian-style 0.33l bottle.
Golden pour, a bit orange, decent white head, goes away fast, lots of traces.
Not a lot of aroma, some grains, a bit of orchard fruit and honey. No booze coming off, so that's nice, considering it's 9%.
Sweet start, not entirely malty but very fruity also, with apples (bringing a bit of acidity), faint melon and some juicy jam-like apricots. Floral honey, spicy minty herbs, pinch of peppercorn. Decent hops in the finish, with a more than mild bitterness, that manages to cut off most of the lingering syrupy sweetness. Very faint metal.
Sticky body, medium carbonation. Booze is not too obvious, aftertaste is sweet and fruity with a touch of bitter herbs.
A nice Belgian feel to this one that doesn't come as a "placebo" just from seeing the bottle, very interesting. A bit all over the place and unbalanced, but interesting.

This new Union beer pours a clear golden color and is topped with a generous white foamy head that settles down slowly.
The aroma is surprisingly mild, some malty smell together wit ha little bit of grains and slight yeasty aroma.
The taste starts sweet and slightly fruity. It's followed by strong hoppiness and finishes with an avergae bitterness. The aftertaste is bitter and quite strong.
Not the best beer I had, but still a pleasant surprise from one of the leading Slovenian brands.
