Six Arms is a literal corner bar, almost walked by it in the twilight. Old brick building, cramped bar with a rail to separate the restaurant tables. Lots of signs around about keeping minors out of the bar, which were at every bar, so must be a Washington thing. The place was decorated for Haolloween--blinking green-chested skeletons over the bar, webs on the TVs. We had the tater tots with ranch dressing--really good bar food. Had them Cajun at a later McMenamins, and even better. Not a bad stop if you're in the area (like at Elysian down the street), but I wouldn't go out of my way for this place alone. Standard bar, nice atmosphere, ok beer and decent food. Fun stop.

Dimly lit. Bar and large wooden booths with some 2-tops downstairs. Some additional seating in a loft-like above the bar, upstairs. Interestingly decorated with plumbing - pipes, valves, pressure gauges, spigots all connected together in random configurations, around the bar, and up toward the ceiling. Seemed like Tim Burton-esque or something (I know there's a better way to describe this but I can't think of the word right now). There were 9 house brews and 6 guest brews on tap. I had a terrific burger. Staff was quite friendly, quick, and attentive. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

Bourbon Street. Definitely Bourbon Street. This place on the edge of the center of Seattle sits on a corner and takes full advantage of it with two-storey plate glass windows on two sides. Inside, all is brass and metal, including a balcony overlooking the main floor. Seats about 100. A bit on the dark side at night, the place is at once industrial and cozy. It was also packed on a Saturday night.
Six (or was it eight?) of their own beers on tap, served well and quite tasty. No lagers, but a range of ales from Hefeweizen to stout. The service was spotty, but given the crowds, that is understandable. We weren't the only ones having a good time.
