Overall, I was really impressed with this one. Quality pils malt flavors form a solid, bready, husky foundation. Hops are snappy with plenty of herbal and grassy flavor and a firm bitterness. The finish is properly dry, but the mouthfeel remains plenty full with some light hop oiliness. Yeast actually adds some interesting character with some fruit skin, rose water, and just a faint whiff of sulfur. Carbonation is spot on. It appears to be bottle-conditioned but it pours up perfectly clear, while the head leaves some spotty white lace on the glass. One of the better beers I've had from the boys at Choc, they did their homework on this one. In my opinion, a big improvement over the old Spring IPA. I'll definitely be throwing a few of these back this spring.

Pours a chill-hazed honey color with 2+ fingers of cream colored head. Doesn't totally clear up, alright lacing & head retention
S: Grassyness & pears; nice perfumy notes as this warms
T: Pears, a touch of honey & white grapes along with grassyness up front. Slight soapyness, faint crackery notes & more pear notes, plus dryness as this warms, some grainyness, slight lemony notes. Finishes crisp, fruity, & slight grainyness & a kiss of lemon drop candy & grainyness
MF: Medium bodied, crisp carbonation; fairly good balance
Very drinkable, not spot on, but I will buy this again, enjoyable & worth a try

12oz bottle served in a Sam Adams perfect pint
A - Pale golden with a slight haze. 2 fingers of frothy sticks to the glass ok.
S - Fresh cut grass, sweet grain, bready, lychee fruit, reminds me of spring, very faint lager yeast in the background.
T/M - Green grass with a spicy bitterness, bright lychee, fresh wheat grass, fruit and lemon rind, earthy and floral lavender but with a clean feel. Bready pale malt really adds some bulk. Good level of carbonation with a crisp spicy finish.
Fresh flavors and constructed very well. This beer makes me wish it was warmer outside. This brewery is headed in the right direction.
