341ml bottle, with one strange hippy-esque, silver-tinted label. Part of one light-sucker of a mixed six-pack.
This beer pours a clear, very dark red-tinged amber hue, with one finger of loosely foamy, somewhat bubbly ecru head, which leaves but a low ebbing shoreline of lace around the glass as it quickly recedes.
It smells of sweet, biscuity caramel malt, demarara sugar, a touch of gritty molasses, and herbal, leafy hops. The taste is more bready, less biscuity caramel malt, weakly sweet dark sugar notes, a bit of bitter black tea, a subtle oily nuttiness, and earthy, leafy hops.
The carbonation is generally on the soft and lilting side, the body medium-light in weight, and mostly smooth, a slight acerbic twinge tugging at the fringes. It finishes off-dry, the nutty, bready malt sloughing off any lingering hoppiness.
An agreeable enough English brown ale, the malt up to the task, the ancillary characteristics well-rendered, and the hops kept to the legal (micro-brew) level. A very old-world approach - simple, drinkable, and worthy of a least another round or so.

Appearance- Pours a reddish nut brown with a half finger of bubbly head.
Smell- lightly roasted malts, toffee, hazelnut, fig
Taste- The roasted malts are predominate followed by the toffee, brown sugar, and hazelnut. The fig is quite mild in flavour.
Mouthfeel- Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation.
Overall- A nice English Brown by Yukon. I find the aroma was better executed than the flavour, but still a tasty brew for cold winter months.

341ml bottle poured into tulip 29/1/13
A clear reddish brown with a few bubbles but just a very short thin film for a head that leaves no lace, looks pretty basic
S brown sugar and some faint molasses with some herbal tea and cola, there's some coco and caramel in there with leafy hops
T mimics the smell fairly well, herbal earthy notes with sweet malts, slight nutty aspect and the brown sugars a little burnt
M fairly light but it adds to the drinkability, the bubbles work well giving it almost a creamy feel and some almond on the finish
O looks pretty basic but pretty solid otherwise, I'm not saying the Earths going to move for ya but shes a respectable brown
I think I just wanted a reason to revisit Midnight Sun and Lead Dog and the new sample 6er from Yukon gave me the chance. Sleek black 6er just looks bad ass, no regrets buying this one
