Serving from the 0-33 bottle, pours very tick and steady foam.
Smell - various spicy ingredients like coriander (?),a little dark fruit as well.
T - Quite a bit of sweetens in the middle that are mostly dark fruit. Finishes with a sour bitterness that is balanced.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a medium level of carbonation.
Very drinkable, served on 12-14 C,very good beer from very good beer company.

Leffe bruin dark, tap at Stella cafe in Brussels airport.
Big creamy thick 1 finger head fades fairly slowly with an entire layer of lacing. Somewhat clear but dark mahogany brown color with a auburn hue.
Nose has an immediate Belgian bruin aroma, floral Belgian yeast esters, dark caramel malts and a bit of candy sugar, some candied raisins and dates, with a light apple mixed with nuts and dates.
Taste starts similarly, but with the candy flavors first, caramel, toffee, nutty candied apple and candy sugar, raisins and dates mostly candied, and a light toasted quality. A hint of booze wafts out with the sweetness and faint esters. It also had a light caramelized almost burnt brown sugar and faint inherent bitterness. Finish is dry but leaves a sticky residue, a mild gassy and earthy bitterness, more caramel toffee nuts and dried fruits lingering too.
Mouth is med bodied, little syrupy, decent carb.
Overall a nice beer, pretty much a bruin dark to a "T", but doesn't go beyond to do anything special either

(4.0) A: Clear mahogany red with a tall billowy white head that recedes to a thin blanket. Patchy lacing that clings.
(3.75) S: Cherries, plums, sweet banana, light molasses, some grains, and subdued caramel. Enticing but not overpowering. A good mix of aromas.
(3.75) T: Semi-tart dark fruits, grains, banana, bubblegum, and light caramel backbone. A nice spice element is present. A slight root beer taste that is quite earthy is noticeable.
(3.5) M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Syrup like texture that’s a bit sticky but generally fairly clean.
(3.5) D: It has been quite a while since I had this, and I was quite surprised by the taste. I much prefer the Leffe brune over the blonde. Will have to start considering this at establishments with macro-heavy lineups.

Bought a 6-pack at a local bottle shop .
I've been a long-term fan of the Blonde version and had only had the Brun, once, at "The Sharp Edge" on draft .
Slightly more bitter and roasty tasting than the blonde version .
Kind've like a Belgian beer for Coors Miller Budweiser wimp drinkers. A stepping stone to real Belgians . Not as much soul or heft as proper Belgian brews .
A vanilla-cream/raisin-y aroma and taste with a very creamy almost nitrogenated mouth-feel .
For me personally, makes me want to go slurp the real deal like Bornem Dubbel or thereabouts .
Better than no Belgian brew at all .
