750ml bottle at Waagstuck in Antwerp.
Clear peachy golden color, decent lacing.
In the nose; musty, goat, horse blanket, lemon, mint, eucalyptus.
Tart, musk, herbal, dusty yeast, marmalade, hint of bread, barn yard.
Quite amazing, every well balanced. If you see it, get it. Lots of fun to fun.

Poured into a tulip. 2011 vintage.
3.5 A: Well hazed dark yellow with some brownish hues. Three finges of frothy white head. Retention is about average and a few whisps of lacing are left.
4.25 S: Smells like a saison in a lot of ways. Funk forward without a lot of acidity. Flowery and herbal to start with a dry woodiness underneath. Dust, dryrot, jasmine, pollen, wildflower, and apple orchard. Super dry with lots of depth and complexity though not a geuezy as others I've had.
4.25 T: Ahhh, here it is. While anyone could mistake the nose for that of a saison, the taste is decidedly gueuze. Lots of funk in the nose as well, but a sollid acidity as well. Flowery and herbal again with the same dry woodiness, pollen, wildflowers, and apple orchard. Mild, but balancing tartness and a bit more tangy lactic acid. Fruitiness that wasn't really found in the nose is now here. Plenty of lemon, a bit of lime, apple, and peach. Solid here with good complexity and depth.
3.75 M: Lighter medium body. Good upper moderate carbonation. Not particularly creamy or spritzy, but good nonetheless.
4.0 D: Solid all around. A bit pricey, but such is the style. Definitely worth a try and a not a bad beer to stock up on either.

750ml into a snifter. Batch 1 (2009).
A: Pours a slightly turbid light copper with a pillowy and thick white head.
S: The aroma is quite brett-heavy. Sweaty, sticky citrus, horseblanket, light mineral, gamey hay.
T: The taste is slightly cleaner, with a pronounced yet short-lived acidity. Mildly sweet pale malt quickly overtaken by dry lactic sourness, some subtle cheesy funk, tart lemon and raspberry.
M: Light-bodied with very frothy carbonation. Very dry.
O: A very nice, balanced geuze - not too unique, but very tasty and refreshing.

2009 bottle shared with mrand01.
Pours a hazy golden orange color with a rather large white head that recedes to leave some spotty lacing.
Aromas begin with lemon juice and lemon zest and sweet pilsnery, crackery maltiness. As it warms you some some vinegar notes with mild earthy and musty funk.
The tastes follow the nose with strong sour lemon and some light earthy funk. As it warms there is a bit of grassiness and musty damp oak.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Finish is mainly sour and dry but not intensely so.
Overall I enjoyed this Gueuze but it by no means is the best I have ever had. I am not sure of the price but I can't imagine it was cheap. For a style I don't gravitate to or often seek out, I can say that there are better examples which I hope to eventually have again, but this is not one of them,

Shared with MrKennedy and mulder1010. Reviewed from notes.
Heavily hazed apricot with a fast vanishing white head.
Lovely complex gueuze nose. Heady interplay of grapefruit peel, jalapeno, wild herbs, dried hay, sweaty funk and apricot. Occasional sweet high notes help to mitigate the sharp tartness.
Flavours display plenty of bright acidity, with lemon and grapefruit pith, green capsicum and sour sherbet dominating.
Medium bodied, with vibrant carbonation and some saliva stripping tartness at the finish.
Flamboyant and complex, with the odd harsh aspect, but great overall.

Drank from my Ciney sniffer, bottle No. 025733 at Bruges beertje
A - Pours a cloudy honey straw colour with a white fluffy head that retains well.
S - Plenty of horse blanket and earthiness.
T - Bret and sourness hits you with very nice balance and not overpowering. Hints of apple and plenty of fresh oak.
M - medium body with minimal carbonation.
O - Top class Geuze that is balanced and offers plenty. The body and carbonation are the highlight.

Pours into the glass a murky amber color a smallish off white head that quickly dissipates. Smells of sour and tart fruits, a bit of caramel and vinegar with a solid does of must and funk. The flavor is a hint of caramel sweetness up front that is quickly devoured by tart cherries and lemons. Lots of acid and a hint of vinegar with a mild amount of funky flavor. Crispy bubbly mouthfeel with a light to medium body and a solid shot of carbonation. Very nice geuze, quite complex, I wish I had a bottle or two to hold onto for a while.
