Presentation: 12 oz green bottle with a no freshness date.
Appearance: Cloudy pale golden beige colour with a trademark wheat beer tiny bubbled lace.
Smell: Fresh wheat malt in the nose, hints of lemon and powdery yeast as well.
Taste: So crisp and smooth, there is lots of fresh fermented wheat flavour that it creates bit of a twang. Quite malty with a spicy phenolic and faintly bitter hop to balance. A powdery yeast tries to dry the palate. A touch fruity with pear in the back and vague banana in the front with some alcoholic esters wavering in the finish.
Notes: Perfectly balanced for the style and extremely drinkable, its right up there in greatness with the rest of the quality German wheat beers.

A- Poured from 12 oz bottle into weizen glass. Slightly cloudy golden, but more clear than what i am used to seeing from this style. Calm bubbles, good lacing average retention.
S- earthy yeasts. Wheat. Slight fuitiness and clove. A nice amount of spice to go along with it too. I like what is going on here.
T- Earthy yeast again, some buttery and taffy flavor, then a huge rush of German tasting wheat malt. Very tart finish that is a nice touch. Just a little off on the balance with the dominance of the wheat.
M- A little thin compared to some others of this style, but still quite drinkable. Touch of dryness in the finish. Moderate carbonation.
O- A good beer. Would have loved more clove flavor and was a little dissapointed the taste didn't follow the pepper i detected in the smell. Not spectacular, but a good beer none the less. A spirited effort for this style.

ST: 11.2oz poured into a Hefe glass.
A: Cloudy golden-orange with a thick white, fluffy head with rapid carbonation bubbles.
S: Banana, clove, citrus, soda bread.
T: Bite of sweet wheat, orange, banana, a zap of spice and the zing of carbonation.
M: A bit light, though creamy.
O: The first sip through the thick head is very enjoyable, and the creamy mouth fitting finish with a hint of clove is equally nice. There was a metal, medicinal tinge that hurt the overall flavor throughout, though that taste might be the fault of this individual bottle. For the price, it is one of the better Hefes to buy from Germany.
