12 ounce bottle poured into a tulip.

A: Brilliant golden hue with lively carbonation, producing a fluffy white head that slowly settles. Retention is good, and lacing coats the glass walls.

S: Honey and biscuit up front, with some notes of lemon, green apple, and earth. Hops are quite floral on the back end.

T: Up front, cracker-like malt collides with flavors of green apple, citrus, and some unripe banana. Hops continue with earthy undertones and some spice on the tail end, followed by a crisp, dry finish.

Notes: Well-balanced and flavorful, yet light enough that this beer is a perfect Summer sipper. Tasty as all Hell, with a crisp refreshing finish. Well done!

Reviewed from tasting notes.

Poured out a mostly clear light golden color with a single finger of off-white foamy head that leaves behind minimal amounts of lacing. Lighter side of medium strength carbonation and body.

Smells and tastes of light floral elements, some vague honey and white pepper, a tiny ghost of lemon peel, and some cracker malt. Not a very memorable or striking profile, although it does contain the basic elements of a saison. Everything is sort of wispy and thin, even for a style that *should* be lighter.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a bit of an orange tint abs a massive three inch white foamy head with huge bubbles that quickly dissipate, leaving sheets of lacing.

Aroma is heavily wheaty, with orange and coriander, lemon peel, peach, and a bit of bready caramel malt adding intrigue.

Flavor is disappointingly malty and grainy. Lemon and wheat add complexity to the profile, which ends slightly dry. Tangerine and coriander surface in subsequent sips, with a bit of white pepper at the finish. Woody notes surface as it warms, but bittering hops are a bit overdone.

Body is on the light side, with very high carbonation, and a powdery dry finish.

Overall, the graininess, bittering hops, and extreme carbonation stole the enjoyment of the flavor. Wish the flavor held up to the aroma's promise.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Unibroue tulip.

A: Pours a hazy, yellow-orange color with two fingers of billowy, nearly white head. Strong retention and lace.

S: Sweet bread, floral notes and hay. Honey is in the distant background.

T: Light pepper up front, fades to dry, bready malt, then finishes with pepper, minerals and a little bitterness.

M: A tad thin, quite fizzy.

O: Not a bad saison, but with so many better ones out there, probably won't miss this one too much. Nevertheless, glad to have had the chance to try it.

Good belgium yeast flavor, floral bouquet and flavor, sweet, earthy and fruit all at once with a bold finish. Rustic flavor that is NOT soapy like some saisons can be.

I think this would be a good beer for a garden party or for a wine party for those who do not wine.

This would go great with roast pork with rosemary, pears and cheese, or swiss fondue.

First had: on tap at TJ's, Paoli, PA

Served in a tulip glass, a slightly hazy golden yellow, with a small, delicate, white head that left a bit of soapy lacing on the glass. Grassy aroma, wheat, grains, light citrus notes. Taste was lightly bready, crisp, honey-sugary, grassy with a touch of wet hay funk, with light hints of flowery herbs, gentle spice, and citrus zest. Mouthfeel is light, like the overall taste, but it's smooth and very easily drinkable, and at just over 5%ABV, quite sessionable, so on the whole, it's a very good beer.

I've been enjoying Summit's one-off series. So when one of them was from my favorite beer style, I had to pick this up.

Pours a slightly cloudy golden yellow, like summer wheat, with hints of orange. Massive fluffy white head, great retention, good lacing. Nice stream of bubbles rising up. Saisons can be pretty beers, and this one is definitely up there.

Smell is just what I want - lightly sweet, but with a strong musty yeast aroma and a good citrus snap. Wheat lingering in the background. Very nice. If this tastes as good as it smells, I will be very happy.

Taste is good, but not on the level of the smell. There's a really solid beer underneath there, but I think it's dulled by the honey and too much bittering hops. The honey adds an odd sweetness that doesn't mix well. And the finish is dominated by a drying bitterness that doesn't work for me. It's good, but it could have been so much more.

Mouthfeel is rather odd. The body is fine, if a little thin. But it has a shockingly dry finish - it actually feels like it's sucking the saliva out of my mouth. One of the driest beers I've had. On top of that, it's overcarbonated. The mouthfeel definitely brings it down, as it combines with the bitterness to make the finish unpleasant.

I thought this beer started off well, but fell off. Taste is overdone - it would be better with less going on, so that the more subtle flavors are allowed to come through. And the mouthfeel doesn't help it, either. Not bad, but close to being so good.
