Poured from 12 oz. bottle into pint glass.
A: Clear orange-red in color. Decent head which dissapates into thick sticky lace on side of the glass.
S: Malt aroma is the strongest, mixed with light hops smell.
T: Bitterness upon first taste, but not at all overwhelming afterwards. Clear caramel malty flavor that came out in the nose, with hops flavor that was wasn't as evident to me from first smell.
M: Feel is medium body, with a nice creamy-ness. I'm alright with the way this feels.
D: Nice drinkable old-world style ipa.
It is clearly evident the difference between an ipa brewed in the traditional vein, and some the hop crazy American styles I have been trying. This beer is much easier for me to drink a few of, but the experience as a whole is lacking. I remember trying this beer over ten years ago when I lived up north and not liking it at all. Now, I see that it is quite mild and enjoyable given the right circumstance.

Scored a six pack of this when I was living in Wisconsin. Pours a dark golden color, almost a full inch of white head on the top of it. Aroma was midwestern grain, and only a smattering of what may be noble hops.
Taste, kinda malty, not overly hoppy, not exactly that earthy presence of English ipas, the malt finish is more American and dry. A little bit of soapy bitterness to it. 40ibu? Its a decent ipa, but don't fall over yourself to get it was what I used to say about this beer.

From tasting notes. A brilliant copper amber pour produces a finely bubbled 1” clingy white foam collar. Malt and hops on the nose and the palate are well balanced. Medium body and carbonation. I am drinking this at a Thai restaurant and the beer cuts the Thai sauce and lifts the spicy sauce right off your palate. It is a perfect match.
