Pours a clear, medium orange with golden highlights. Formed a 1-2 finger foam, off-white in color, slowly receding back down while sticking some lacing aside the glass. Surprisingly malt-forward aroma also contains hints of herbal hops. Minty with a bit of floral. Fermentation seems mostly clean with just a tad of esters. Again, more of the malt flavor reaching the palette than hops. Seems a bit too malt-focused for the style and has a flavor leaning towards toasty bread, with some caramel character reaching through, too. Subtly floral. Medium-light bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Smooth.
A little too malt balanced for the IPA-style but a well made beer none the less. I feel it's a bit more of a "Pale Ale" than it is an "India Pale Ale" though perhaps the bottle is beyond its peak freshness.

Scored a six pack of this when I was living in Wisconsin. Pours a dark golden color, almost a full inch of white head on the top of it. Aroma was midwestern grain, and only a smattering of what may be noble hops.
Taste, kinda malty, not overly hoppy, not exactly that earthy presence of English ipas, the malt finish is more American and dry. A little bit of soapy bitterness to it. 40ibu? Its a decent ipa, but don't fall over yourself to get it was what I used to say about this beer.

From tasting notes. A brilliant copper amber pour produces a finely bubbled 1” clingy white foam collar. Malt and hops on the nose and the palate are well balanced. Medium body and carbonation. I am drinking this at a Thai restaurant and the beer cuts the Thai sauce and lifts the spicy sauce right off your palate. It is a perfect match.
