Very strange place this Anderson's place is. Sort of cross between Home Depot/Lowe's, Meijer, Wal-mart, K-mart, etc. My gues is that at some point in the future, one of these chains will buy them out. Enough prognosticating.
Beer slection is very good given the nature of the store. Stoudt's, Stone, Great Lakes, Bells, some Harpoon buncj of others I can't remember. Really nice thing about this place is the selection of singles is very high. They seem to offer just about everything they put on the shelves as singles. Every beer store should adopt this policy.

Anderson's is perfect for the Toledo, OH beer lover. While Joseph's Beverage has a wider selection, they leave all their stuff on the shelves under a lot of harsh fluorescent lighting so it's skunked when you take it home. Anderson's has just the right amount and just the right kind of beers to offer, and they move it! Dogfish Head, Stone, Avery, Arcadia (?!?), Unibroue, Bell's, Three Floyd's... you name it!

I met Jim H. today, Anderson's beer reviewer/buyer. I'm trying to get them to get some DFH seasonales. He seems receptive and turned me on to Unibroue today. Real friendly guy, super knowledgeable too.

Someone else get in there and tell them to carry the rest of the DFH line!

Pretty much within the Anderson's formula layout, though I'm notcing that there is some variability between individual stores. Whereas some Anderson's have a broad selection of craft brews, others seem more heavily imported. This location was more of the later.

As with all locations this is a huge discount home department store and beer is not the primary emphasis. Still, they do a very nice job on both quality and the size of selection.

Plenty of parking and quick, efficient checkouts.

The most selections of singles to sample I know of in the area. So many choices I didn't know where to start. Any beer they have is available for sample and with a little description about it. I didn't need guidence to find anything, I was just going on what looked interesting. It took no time before I was asked if I needed any help, and I could see that there was good direction being given to other customers.
