I stopped in here w/ HellsBells24 yesterday 8/18 before heading to Maumee Bay Brewing company and the Mudhens game.
The main reason for coming here was to pick up some beers that are not available in MI. I was able to score some nice beers from Brooklyn (Local 1 for 7.49 per bottle), Ommegang Ommegeden (6.49 per bottle - this shits 12.99 everywhere in MI) and a few singles from Three Floyds, Southampton, Lagunitas, and Brooklyn.
They had some Behemouth from TF, but the $20 price tag was too steep for me as was the Barrel-aged Gonzo at $15. The single selection was more of US Micros instead of imports, which is the opposite of the Columbus store. They had a nice selection of Bells (Batch 8000) and other well known micros. Definitely worth checking out if heading through Toledo, or make a day trip with another stop at Maumee Bay Brewing (an awesome place - check out my review). Just a note, we stopped at Baileys Beverage Center and it was closed and for sale. If you are planning on stopping here, call first to see if they are open.

Very friendly staff that offered to help me find whatever I needed. The staff was also very knowledgeable about the different types of beers. Very good selection better than the Anderson's market in Sylvania. Honestly, probably the best place to get Craft Beer in all of Toledo.. Singles were a little pricey, but not overly so. I have gone back multiple times and will continue to do so.

This is the greatest place I have ever been too for beer. Upon entering the beer section, Which is damn near 5 aisles in length, You are surrounded by almost anything you could possibly imagine at very fair prices. Six-packs, over 800 different single bottles to choose from, A walk-in cooler filled with keg-can's of beer that I have never even heard of.
The atmosphere is great and the beer area manager is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. If you can't find it, He will find it for you in a matter of seconds. They still of course have your usual InBev products but they're kept to a minimum. this place is all about the craft's.
I only wish it were closer to me, As I live in Michigan. This place knows how to market and sell beer. I guarantee you will never leave here empty handed, Or just with one full mix-a-six.

Stopped on a recent business trip.
Incredible selection. Tons of single bottles on about 4 sets of shelves, plus 6 or 7 end caps, to make your own sixers. Weyerbacher, New Holland, Shorts, Lexington Brewing, Dogfish Head among the many singles and sixers available. Also good selection in the coolers (3 or 4) with a good mix of imports (many belgians), domestics, and locals. Several Clipper City Heavy Seas selections available.
Although assistance wasn't asked for, a manager in the area did offer to help me out and grabbed a box for me to package my selected brews. I like a place that offers help even when you don't ask.
Prices seemed about right for what I was used to in Chicago area. A couple singles seemed a little high compared to what a full sixer costs. But otherwise, everything seemed reasonable.
Another place in Toledo to stop in to find a gem or two.

Anderson's is a great grocery store. Not only do they have a great beer selection, but you can put together a bread and cheese plate in the same visit.
They have an excellent selection of local craft beer. Large variety from Founders, Southern Tier, New Holland, Arcadia, Great Lakes, Shorts, Weyerbacher, Hoppin Frog and just about every available beer from Bells.
They also had a good amount of top shelf imports to choose from.
The liquor department is helpfull. Prices were fair as well. Definately worth stopping by.

I'm just getting around to reviewing The Anderson's after several months. The Anderson's is a general store including groceries, lawn & gardening supplies and general merchandise. The location is very close to Joseph's Beverage Center, another of the must stops in Toledo.
The quality is good, the beers appear to be rotated properly and there is a good turn over (not many stale beers).
The service is only fair. There is staff offering help often, but the craft beer is in a very busy section of the store (between the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker), and you are constantly tripping over people when trying to make considered selections. I'm not sure if "service" is the proper place to air this complaint, but it needs to go somewhere.
The selection is good. They do a great job of getting the seasonal displayed and available, better than some stores in the area. Everything available in six packs is also available as a single. There is a wide selection of local and national and international micros, just don't expect any rare finds.
The value is reasonable. Singles are a little high, but not terrible. They do have mark downs often on slow movers, but watch at the cash register, some of the mark downs are not on the computer.

this place has a good selection. the prices are decent for the quality and quantity. i think that i like their maumee store a bit more but this one is closer to me. a lot of the beer is stored at room temp which i dont like but it would take a lot of cooler space to hold as much as they have.
the beer is sorted by country and then style. a better selection of U.S. craft beers than imports. i think maumee shines more on their selection of imports. i was hoping to find some more selection from belgium and germany than i did. maybe i have had too many!
suckem up and movem out!

Hands down the most craft beer knowledgeable staff!
I tend to only visit this store in the early mornig. I believe they open at 8 A.M.
This is do to the popularity of the store based on their respective quality of goods they sell as well as personable and knowledgeable staff they employ. This has been a family based business out of the Toledo area for a long time.
The amount of craft beers is amazing! What they don't have they'll order for you. What they do have is average in price and fresh. They are conscious of dates. They do offer end-cap sales on craft beer that are super bargains.
They hold beer tastings! This is a great way to sample beers before buying.
They also have a wide selection of wine.

This is my favorite place to get beer, hands down. The selection and service are excellent. I usually go on Saturday mornings when the beer is all stocked up for the weekend. There is a section for both foreign and domestic beers as well as and endcap and section of seasonal beers depending on the time of year(summer ales, octoberfest, Christmas ales, etc.)
There is always someone around to greet you and ask if they can help(by now they know me by name). The beer "gurus" are very knowledgeable and will order something for you (if at all possible) if they don't have it in stock. What I especially like about the Anderson's is that they do a lot of business in the beer section so you can almost always count on a fresh offering.
If you've never been to the Anderson's they don't call it a "general" store for nothing. You can get everything from a wrench to a salad, a two-by-four to a Two-Hearted Ale. The beer section is located in the back, right corner, close to the meat counter where you can grab a couple of free samples to munch on while you browse the "beer library". Did I mention empty six-pack holders are available to mix and match just about any beers you want? This is a great way to sample a big variety without having to buy a sixer of something that you might end up not liking. Also, on most Saturdays they have beer tasting(you heard that right) of different styles and varieties, just call ahead for times and flavors.
Overall, if you are in the area(or maybe not even that close), the Anderson's would certainly be worth your while if you're looking for a good selection of craft, foreign, or specialty beer. And don't forget to pick up a weed-whacker and a Tony Packo's hot dog on your way out!

Visited en route to meet kryptic for a trade at Marino's.
Quality: The Anderson's is an all-purpose grocery store, so there is something for everyone. Cleanliness was paramount, as I made a pitstop there - no complaints. Service and selection were good or better.
Service: I asked for directions to the beer aisles in my 'I Hate Ohio State' shirt and was not mislead! I didn't ask for any help while shopping and was in and out rather quickly.
Selection: A broad selection of Midwest brews with a surprising amount of PA selections (victory, etc.). AleSmith and Jolly Pumpkin stand out. I went with some Two Brothers bombers (Red Eye and Bonfire). Imports, sixers, singles and cases abound. Well worth a visit, especially with its proximity to Joseph's.
