A: single finger head on a clear straight up amber body.

S: standard caramel malt aroma and little else.

T: semi-sweet caramel malts with the hops providing a musty note but otherwise contributing little.

M: medium body and moderate carbonation.

Overall: very drinkable but again not memorable which is what I remember the most from the beers I have tried from this brewer.

Much like the Pale Ale, the Red Ale is just a solid beer....nothing noteworthy and nothing upsetting. The beer poured a clear amber with white head that laced. The smell and taste were sweet malt base with good hop balance. The mouthfeel was light in body with good carbonation. Overall solid.

I bought this at a Whole Foods in Orlando.

A: Poured a very cloudy, melted cherry popsicle looking brew, with a rather large, solid, icky, sticky white head that clung to the glass as I siphoned it.

S: Straight up brown sugar, with an overwhelming scent of birthday cake batter. Lots of sugar on the nose for sure and a good bit of dough as well.

T: No real hop presence of any kind, which that alone is not necessarily a strike against it to my mind. However, I would like to have gotten at least SOME sort of floral presence. What I got was rather thin fare. Bread dough and lots, and lots, and lots of brown sugar.

M: Barely carbonated, with a bit of a cardboard-like lingering that stuck to the palate in a rather unpleasant way. Lots of lacing.

O: Meh... Overall, organic beers in general just don't really do it for me and this one is no exception. However, I DO like Orlando Brewing Company's Pale Ale.

The beer was served on-tap at the Orlando Brewing tasting room, and served in a pint glass. The beer is a light, vibrant auburn-red with a thin, small bubbled, white froth. The nose of smoked caramel is very sweet and creamy. Flavors are toasted and smokey caramel, with a bitter hoppiness at the end. The beer has woody and earthy characters, also. Mid-bodied and smooth, but remains light while leaving a good amount of lacing along the glass while you drink. The aftertaste is sweet and buttery, with a sharp and crisp finish due to the increased carbonation.

I had a bottle of this at the Peabody Hotel on a recent visit/business trip to Orlando. Not the best red I've had but not terrible.

Color was a red amber, somewhat cloudy with an active and persistent head.

Aroma was somewhat on the light side. A little malty but in general not very aromatic.

Flavor was pretty much what you would expect from a beer like this. Lightly malty, mild hops. Nothing our of the ordinary.

I enjoyed this beer ok but i didn't love it.

Had this on tap at Fifty Brews in Orlando. Appearance was a nice red ale, little darker then expected. Smell was nothing impressive but did not offend. Taste of this brew on draft is much better then previous experience in bottle. Drinks very smooth nice malt flavor and just enough hops to balance out the style. Easy to drink and of course its organic. I would recommend this over just about every other Orlando brew except the Kristal Weis which is only available limited at the brewery from time to time.

I wanted to try some local beers while in Orlando. The lagers didn't interest me so I decided to give this beer a try. Note: It is now an "organic beer".

I'm not a fan of "organic beers". Why? I find they lack in flavor. They seem to miss the boat when it comes to flavor.

This might be the best organic beer I have tasted yet. It's not great, but it provides some good flavors and yet doesn't leave you with a poor aftertaste.

The smell, the color and the first taste all told me it was a red ale. It's not a strong red ale, but satisfying considering my options. The lack of hops isn't helping it. It also has very little carbonation, so it comes across as a little flat.

Had on-tap at the downtown farmer's market, poured into a pint glass

A-An expected ruby color with a thin stark white head that dissipated rather quickly but left a good amount of lacing

S-A rather faint nose, malts and hops with a slight toffee note

T-An expansion of the smell, with the addition of some brown sugar like taste

M-Clean and smooth, with medium carbonation

D-Overall a good brew, one that's definitely getting me to head over to their brewpub and sample their other products

A seethru reddish body with two-finger white head and a ring of lace around the glass. Very faint mixture of sweet malts and hops. A thicker red from my experience that is very smooth and had minor hop bitterness mixed with sweet malts like caramel. The beer I had was sweeter and less hoppy than other reds, and judging by the average score I must've gotten a lucky batch.

12 oz bottle

A - Pours a nice red, decent head with little to no lacing

S - Strong hop smell, no subtleties.

T - Just not very balanced, especially for a red ale. The hops just overwhelmed the malt.

M - Thought I might have gotten a bad one, but a second confirmed that there is very little carbonation going on, and that left a flat mouthfeel.

D - It was an ok beer, not bad but not great either. I could drink a few of these but probably wouldnt if there were other options.

12oz bottle

Pours a dark reddish amber color with an off-white head. The aroma is mainly faint sweet malts and caramel, very light on the hops. The taste is like the aroma with some sweet toasted malt and caramel with some hops in the finish. Overall, not my favorite beer from the brewery but this one is a pretty decent Red that is worth a try.

The appearance of this beer is somewhat red/amber with a smaller yet average head. The aroma is a little sweet with grassy hops but mostly just weak and watery. The taste is like the aroma that starts out sweet then turns bitter and dry. The palate is thin. Overall this beer is not that great and suffers from being astringent yet weak.

A - Poured a good red color with nice head. Not too much going on with the trace.

S - Smelled of light malts and strongly of hops. Not too much of a fruity character going on here, just mostly hops.

T - Low malt background with an over the top hop presence. There really wasn't too much roundness going on. I wasn't expecting hops of this magnitude to come out of a red ale. It was a watered down brew with hops.

M - Very flat all the way through. Kind of dissapointing.

D - Although this had a few low spots it is still drinkable. If I was in the mood I could see myself drinking one.

Orlando Brewing Red Ale from the tap at the brewpub. This beer pours a red color with a huge head that had to settle before the pour was completed. The aroma was mostly caramel malt and so was the flavor. There was a decent amount of hops toward the finish. A decent, enjoyable brew. Worth a try.
