Thunderhead Brewing Co. “Cropduster”
$ /16 oz. on tap at the brewery on 23 December 2022
Notes via stream of consciousness: A lightly hazy deep amber/copper colored body is capped by a short head of creamy white foam. The aroma is malty, citrusy, lightly caramelish, herbal, and piney. The flavor adds some apple-like fruitiness and a touch of spiciness. A bold bitterness (listed at 75 IBUs) anchors it and keeps it quite dry in the finish with citrus, herbs, spiciness, and pine lingering.

Cropduster pours a darker bronze color, with not much head. Earthy aroma, with some wet hop. Flavor is similar; pretty balanced, earthy, malty, with a harsh hop flavor. Good body and feel. Overall, its an okay no frills IPA,

Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass
L: Clear medium golden copper pour with big time fluffy head. Great lacing.
S: Grains and citrus. Strong pine/resin and mild citrus.
T/F: Strong toasted grain presence... west coast style hopping. Bitter and piney. Milder citrus and lemongrass. Medium to light bodied... well carbonated. The finish is more evergreen and hops.
O: A reasonably good midwestern take on the west coast IPA. Very drinkable... bitter... solid beer and my first from the state of Nebraska!

Super fresh can on a cool (cooler than feels normal) April morning.
Mostly clear light copper or iced black tea color, two fingers of fluffy off-white head, lacing all around.
Citrusy, floral hops. Nice and hoppy with some biscuit and woodiness in the background.
Good bitterness, fresh hops, light toasty grains that give just enough sweetness.
A little weak in the mouthfeel, though it's still perfectly drinkable.
A good straightforward IPA, one of my personal favorites of the brewery.

Look: Hazy rust color, appealing.
Smell: Nice and hoppy, but not crazily hoppy.
Taste: Very nice balance of malt and hops, with the focus being on the hops and hints of malt.
Feel: Somewhat smooth, decent amount of carbonation so it goes down easily.
Overall: I much prefer this to the Grapefruit IPA they make, and they distribute it so it's easier to acquire. Definitely a beer you should check out if you're in the area.

Rusty color. Sweet malts for smell. Flavor is bold and sort of smoky with a good malty presence. Overall this a unique in a good way ipa. Different than the west coast style you see so much of. I enjoyed. Cheers.

L: This is the best thing about this beer looks hazy golden yellow leaning towards slight orange.
S: citrus hop with malt and grain but it has a strange note on the grain end of things
T: Big burst of herbal/piney hop faint grain in the middle then pithy bitter push thru and hangs on the end.
F: thin with a dry finish
O: Ugh I think this brewery's style isn't for me. Not the worst IPA but there are so many better one's Strange how it smells citrus and tastes herbal/piney. Overall I do not like it.

Light yellow/orange color; murky.
Bright white, frothy head; strong lacing.
Nice citrus nose; hops aren't hiding here!
Thin mouthfeel.
Citrus disappears in the taste; macro-lager flavors take over. A severe disappointment.
