When you come into the store, you have to head off to the right, which puts you at the end of the cases of beer isle. Follow this to the back, and you will find the warm singles area. To the left of the singles, is the cooler section.
The singles area has a very nice selection, including a decent variety of the Belgians. The cooler also has a decent selection of singles, includign some that aren't in the warm singles area.
Sadly, there was no employee around to even ask if I needed assistance. I generally like to shop for myslef, but knowing that someone was willing to assist would have been nice.
Overall, a decent price for a decent selection, if you aren't looking for assistance. If you are looking for something special and don't see it, such as DFH 120 minute IPA, ask at the counter, they probably have it in the back. If they don't carry it, but it is available, they will order it for you.
A decent place to stop when compared to other store which carry just macro. If in the area and looking for a place to try, I recommend stopping here.

Right on Rte. 66, this place is easy to get to with a very large parking lot for easy access. It's a pretty large store with a very large selection where you can find almost everything this state can offer. It has a very large selection of craft beers in the fridge which is good. The whole back wall of the store is beer basically. The fridge takes up about 2/3 of it, but the other third is the unrefrigerated craft beer section. I think what impressed me the most was that they had all four of Southern Tier's Blackwater series out at once, I've never seen that anywhere and it was quite impressive to see that. They have a bunch fo growlers from the local craft breweries that do them (OPA-OPA, Berkshire Brewing, Olde Burnside) and a whole lot of selection of the good stuff. The service was OK, all my questions were answered and they rang me up quickly and efficiently. Conveniently located on a major road, great selection, fair prices, I'd say it's definitely worth a stop back next time I am in town.

I have been shopping here since it opened, even though inwas under age at the time (thank god for a older brother). They always are stocked and have a wide varity of beer.
Only negative is they only have all the top sellers, but with that said they will special order stuff for you. The help knows their stuff and will help with anything. You want Yeungling, they'll get it for you. You want a good beer to cook with, they will tell you. The whiskey selection isn't bad either.
They are not always the cheapest, but they always have it and a lot of it. They only thing is since they moved from Washington Plaza it is hard to get in, but there is now a traffic light to help.

I live down the street from this CBM and still find myself making the drive to the CBM in New Britain instead. While the price isn't excessively different, the selection at this store is somewhat lacking in comparison. Don't get me wrong, it's a great place to stop in and pick up a 12 pack, but rarely do I see something new and exciting that catches my eye. I've never been approached by any of the staff while looking around, so I cannot give any applause to their in-depth knowledge or lack thereof. They are polite and friendly at the cash register, for what it's worth. Overall it's a great place to have nearby, but greater selection and wider variety would certainly bring in my business w/ greater consistency.

I visited this place during a recent trip to Middletown. Just pokin around and lookin for some Harpoon 100 bbl barleywine. Well they had it.
The place is really geared towards macros until you walk to the back of the store. There are a few shelves of room temperature sixers and singles. Not a huge array of new england brews and not the best regional selection either, but a pretty decent mix of goodies and better than some stores in the area. I saw Ipswich oatmeal stout there which Idont see very often and of course the 100 bbl barleywine, I only left one of these for the next lucky visitor.
There are tons of signs warning not to break up sixpacks for singles which seems a little crappy to me but oh well.
There is also singles and 6ers in teh cooler. A pretty good range of stuff.
I probably wont be making a trip exclusively to stop here again but it is a nice hit before or after Eli Cannon's

Located right on Rt. 66, in a commercial area, this place is very easy to get to. Beware making a left hand turn leaving the place, because you'll be sitting there for ten minutes waiting for a break in traffic.
Walking in, the place is a big warehouse of alcohol. The first beer you see is still in cases stacked on warehouse style shelves. Big pallets of Guinness, Bud and Rolling Rock crowd the floor.
Making your way to the back, the beer lines most of the back wall. A giant cooler area, plus a small section off to the right make up the beer department. The cooler is filled with a variety of interesting and tasty beer, mostly regional breweries, with the leftmost 3-4 doors being macro beer. The unrefrigerated section to the right is probably the most interesting, with several unusual and hard to find beers, at least in the area, including Samichlaus, Castle Lager, and Leifman's. They rotate their stock, as far as I can tell. I've never gotten old beer from here.
The staff isn't the most knowledgable. A couple of the employees know their beer, and are happy to try and special order anything you want.
Definitely a good place to go if you're in the area and looking for a big selection of beer.

If you come across one of the 4 CBM locations, it's definitely worth stopping in to look around. Selection is better than average, but could have just a little more depth. Good selection of micros and rare imports, but the quality is uneven across the locations. For example, Middletown usually will get the seasonals and one-offs, but gets small quantities so it's hit or miss for them to have them in stock. Also, the micros go out of stock quickly. Wallingford has a better selection of imports. New Britain is the largest store, but sometimes has old inventory, and has trouble getting the seasonals and one-offs. Also, the web site does them a disservice because it focuses only on wine, and not at all on beers. Definitely worth the trip, and prices are good, but check the freshness dates, and keep your fingers crossed that you timed it right for the one-offs.
