This is the house beer at the Alamo Drafthouse. Same brew, on tap and fantastic. They serve it really, really cold. My advice is to wait a few minutes while you enjoy your movie or contemplate life, and let it open up as it warms.

Poured into a pint shaker glass a golden brown color with low foam. There’s a wonderful biscuit malt aroma that I love, followed by a sharp hoppy finish. The hops come forward on the flavor. Well balanced with some bracing hops complemented by a malty sweetness. Great finish, exceptionally tasty.

This is my favorite Texas beer at the moment. Enjoyed on-tap at both the Draught House pub and at Black Star Co-Op in Austin, TX. A nice dark-amber bitter beer.

Fantastic for Winter; pairs well with hearty food and with warm, indoor environments. High enough in alcohol content to leave me feeling affected, but also bitter enough to slow my roll so the drunk comes on smooth.

Had on-tap at the Alamo Drafthouse in Katy, TX. Served in 16oz American pint glass.

Appearance: Deep copper color with no head or lacing.

Smell: Sweet, buttery malt smells with floral hops.

Taste: Begins sweet and buttery, finishing with a pleasant toasty bitterness that has some herbal hints.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with sharp carbonation on the tip of the tongue and a dryer finish.

Drinkability: Very well-balanced and pleasant, but not great. Might have been better with a proper pour.

NOTE: At the Alamo Drafthouse, the menu lists this ass the "Drafthouse ESB" but it is brewed by Real Ale. I am assuming it is the same as the beer that this review is under. If not, please inform me!
