I had this beer at the brewpub poured into a pint glass.

A: Deep Amber Hue, Passes Little Light, White Head Ring, Decent Lacing

S: Piney, Floral, Mildly Malts, Mild Toffee

T: Malty, Piney, Mild Toffee, Very Mild Boozy

M: Average Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Dry, Bitter

Overall, a very nice well balance Imperial Red Ale with a lot of hoppy flavor to cover up the high ABV. Very Mildly Boozy

Picked up the growler at this brewpub. This is one of the best beers I've had. Reminds me of Dogfish 90 Min (a personal favorite). Deep red pour. Aroma of (not overpowering) fresh flowers. A slightly nutty, slightly sweet, and earthy taste that is very mellow and pleasent. Mouthfeel is smooth and the finish is long, but not obstrusive. I could drink this all day. Quite the experience. If you're in Prov., RI, you gotta stop in and pick one up, you won't be disappointed.

This beer is not retired. Listed at the bar as 'REDRUM Imperial Red', ABV 10%. 85 IBUs. Cascade, Tettnang, Summit hops.

64oz growler filled from the tap @ Trinity.

A- A brown/ruby beer that pours pretty dark. Good sticky head and nice lacing.

S- Hops! Powerful hops in this one. Piny, bitter.

T- Wow. One of the hoppiest reds I've ever had. This thing tastes like a DIPA with a super strong malt backround. There's a nice base of malts that help finish this beer nicely. Caramel, brown sugar. Hops are full of pine sap and bitter grapefruit flavors.

M- Great hop bite, body and composition of this beer is impressive.

D- Fairly high, ABV in mind. One of the best beers I've gotten from Trinity. I'll be buying a few more pints of this while it's still on. Worth trying if you're in the area. Great beer.

On-cask 2/13/08 at the brewpub, served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep coppery brown color, with a short dense off-white head that fades very slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is full of hops and citrus, with a light background of caramelized malts.

T: The taste is creamy and malty up front since it was on-cask. Then a strong burst of floral hops comes in along with a fruity citrus sweetness. The after-taste is hoppy and bitter.

M: Smooth and quite crisp for a cask beer, medium body, light carbonation, finish is clean and dry.

D: Very tasty, goes down easy, not too filling, nice kick, I usually prefer this type of beer on a standard tap, but this was very good. I'd be interested to compare it, if it ever shows up on a regular tap.
