Cloudy amber pour with a ½" white head. Plentiful amounts of lacing on the glass. Not much aroma to speak of other than faint hops. Feels good in the mouth As the name suggests, the hops are very evident both up front with some malt undertones, and at the end there is a bitterness. What sets this above others is that with the same flavors of a good IPA, you are getting 9%. The alcohol is hidden behind the hops. Most of squatters beers are 4% due to Utah state laws, but this export is a treat.

Poured from a growler into my Alpine pint glass.
A: Poured a beautiful honey/copper hue with a 1-inch cream colored head. Head retention died off after awhile, but the beer still seemed to hold a quarter inch head throughout the entire drinking session. The only true knock on the appearance was the lack of lacing.
S: The initial smell is nice and hoppy, but not in a "knock you over" way. I was kind of anticipating a hop bomb I guess, but instead, got a lot sweet malt character out of the aroma. Some diectyl was detectable as well.
T: Hop sweetness...malt sweetness...basically, a super sweet tasting brew with a nice touch of hop bitterness. A little too sweet, brown sugary in fact for a DIPA.
M: Medium to light body brew that had some oily/creamy like characteristics.
D: Smell and taste wise...the beer is okay, but I detected little alcohol and found this beer quite pleasing to drink.
Overall: Probably one of Tustin's better beers and worth a try if you ever decide to go there. Cheers!
