Notes:
Pilsner was first made back in 1842 by the Bohemians. They used special pale malt and an abundance of hops to create a delicious, golden beer. Up here at Creemore Springs we fire-brew our pilsner the same traditional way, using only four natural ingredients starting with our own clear flowing spring water. It’s eminently drinkable, and always refreshing. Classic yet unique; it’s our fresh take on a traditional Czech pilsner.

Poured a 341-ml bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance - clear gold appearance with soft white frothy head. Medium carbonation.

Smell - Creamy malt with a faint hop and mild butter to anticipate.

Taste - Well-rounded maltiness with a little bit of the prickly pilsner hops. European influence is subtle but noticable.

Mouthfeel - Basically very easy tasting at the beginning and then it gives way to fairly active carbonation. If it was softer and smoother at the end it would be better.

Drinkability - Easy to enjoy several of these in almost any season.

S-both malt and hop aroma are light, very clean aroma
T-sweet malt matched with a green hoppy bitterness and finishes with grain on the palate
M-medium light bodied
O-not a bad brew, would have expected a bit more hops but still very clean and crisp

-appearance:
a bronzey coppery gold, poured into a normal american pint glass. not a pile of carb, but good head. about 1/2 an inch , decent retention, we'll see about lacing.
(yep. theres lace..but its just a little bit)

-smell:
heavy on the grains. but with a pile of hops to match. very good nose.

-taste:
as i said in appearance the carb isnt over powering , but just present enough to be there. starts off hoppy. pretty sharp. slight hint of the slightly higher abv. nothing to be afraid of tho, a pretty decent pilsner for a "domestic" in a czech style. as the can's images promise. and equal balance of grains and hops. leveled out with a malt base.
easily drinkable. and pretty damn good.

-mouthfeel:
has a sharp start. which is expected of the style. retains is hoppyness throughout, unlike some lower end pilsners that fade and get flat feeling near the half mark this offering has sharp side right down to the last drop. a good selling point for myself.

-overall:
I like this. it's got more charecter than alot of pilsners that attempt to match the style, it has one factor that i really like..the fact that it isnt over foamy..some pilsner goes a bit overboard on the head..but this is subtle.its like a softer version of stiegl. but retaining all of it's best charectaristics.if available i'd say dont pass this one up if you are a fan of the style. and based on my other reviews its probably obvious im a pilsner jock. and this makes the grade..there are others who i prefer over it..but its definatly great. try one today. matches great with spicey foods.

Thinking how much I liked the lager and the keller bier, I expected a little more out of the pils mostly more hops and a bigger flavour profile. Not a bad beer but nothing to make me put my can of Konig or Bitburger down. Still nice to find in a great new mixed pack.

Canned 6 24 12

Crystal clear golden pour, two finger snow white, creamy head that won't quit. Lacing is excellent.

Sweet biscuits, a bright floral presence from the hops and the pilsner malts add a nice clean aroma.

Pilsner malts add a nice sweetness while the hops are floral and earthy. Light on the taste but that's typical for the style.

Light body, great carbonation, very refreshing.

473ml can poured into my Pilsner-Urquell glass...

A - Medium golden body, with a white head that is very frothy at first and then comes down to a thick foamy ring. Okay head retention and lacing.

S - White bread, grass, flowers, light citrus notes. A little bit of caramel. Smells much like the authentic Czech pilsners, so it's very nice.

T - Bready, quite hoppy (with some grassy, spicy notes), with a little bit of citrus and caramel. Finishes bready, slightly sweet, and quite floral.

M - Medium body. Very nice level of carbonation (fairly high yet not over the top). Very crisp and refreshing. As with all Creemore beers, this one has a very smooth, almost creamy texture to it.

O - I'm glad that Creemore still brew beer their own way, even after they were bought out by Molson Coors. Creemore's Pilsner is a very close match to the authentic Czech pilsners and is leagues ahead of the macro lagers of the parent company. Without doubt, this is one of the best Canadian pilsners I've ever had.
