A good variety of food from platters to pizza and sandwiches. Dry rub barbeque meat that is slow cooked in a brick oven. Noisy when crowded and sound echos when quite because of the high ceilings and old hardwood floors. I had the Cereal Killer and Stout the last visit and the bar keep gave me a taste of the Loch Down Scotch Ale just before I was leaving. Not disappointed in any of them. The sandwich I liked the best is their twist on the Cuban. Pulled pork with a sweet pepper relish.

Arcadia Brewing Company is the home of my first brewery experience. My old buddy was once an assistant brewaster there. I used to regularly hang out with my buddies at Arcadia before I moved four hours away. One of my regrets about moving so far is that Arcadia beers are not available here.
If you like hearty beer, Arcadia is the place. There are no ordinary beers at Arcadia. Every recipe is unique unto them. Whenever I visit Battle Creek and bring samples of Arcadia back with me, my new friends are stunned with the quality of Arcadia's brew.
The food is consistenly good. They offer wood-fired pizzas cooked in a stone oven that will rock your world! It seems crazy to say it, but try the ceasar salad... and don't forget the anchovies. This is a pub worth taking a date to.
Arcadia will not dissapoint. Give them a try soon.

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago. Food and beer were both great. We sat along the wall that divides the restaurant from the brewing side of the building so we were able to see what was going on over there was well. Service was not terribly friendly, but was quick. Definitely worth checking out!

Tried all the Specialty Ales and not impressed. They should stick to the basics.
ESB seams like a Pale Ale
IPA Week is one ever
Hop Mouth just bitter
Loch Down Week Scotch Ale
B-Craft It is a Pale that looks black
Great people with great service but poor beer.

dropped in for a quick pint. The bartender was very knowledgeable and helped me choose a beer that fit my palate on this particular day. They had plenty of beers on tap that they stage in tiers based on how expensive they are (allegedly to make, not how expensive they are to buy). Tried the Hop Mouth IIPA and found it really good. Tasted it against the Black IIPA and found it considerably better. Bought a couple of pint glasses and a t-shirt too. Great experience overall and I would to come back when I could try a couple of other beers.

I had some time on a Saturday afternoon, so I shot over to Arcadia. Located in the dowtown section of Battle Creek it was easy to find and had plenty of parking. The initial impression as you walk in is laid back and comfortable. There are plenty of tables for a group of people to sit and have a meal and a nice long bar to sit and enjoy Arcadia's work. Along the back wall there are old couches and very comfortable looking chairs and around the corner from there was the "mug club". I met the production manager and took a tour of the brewery. There were three of us on the tour which made for an enjoyable tour as there was plenty of time for questions and answers. After the tour I sat down at the bar and grabbed a menu. Full of BBQ, sandwiches and pizza, all reasonably priced. I opted for a sandwich and an Arcadia Amber Ale, both were great. 1 sandwich, 1 beer, 1 tour all for under $15. Thanks Arcadia.

Michigan is a brewer's state, so if you're here you have to visit the locals. I am lucky enough to live within a 1.5 hour driving distance of at least four really exceptional breweries, Bell's, Dark Horse, New Holland, and Arcadia. As much as I enjoy Arcadia's beer (drinking their IPA right now) what must be mentioned about the bar is their food. Whether it's the barbecue smoking in the back or the brick pizza oven in the front, I have never tried anything here that I haven't loved. Really high quality ingredients, reasonable wait time, and reasonable prices. If you have to start with anything at Arcadia, you MUST try one of their pizzas. After tossing back a few nice Scotch Ales, their pizza is one of the best things you can do to your stomach. And if you come in the daytime you can watch the brewers at work from within the pub through a large glass window. The brewers and waitstaff have on numerous occasions talked beer with me and never in a condescending voice. Everyone that works here loves what they do and loves beer, and it shows.
