Went with a buddy of mine to their whitsun whiteout a while back. The pub is a big open space, with windows looking into the production facility and a bar towards the back. In terms of selection, they had lots of different varieties of whitsun to sample, including one with added fruit and a dry hopped version. All of the samples I had were good. I was expecting good beer, but the food is what surprised me. My sante fe sandwich was unbelievable and my friend enjoyed his rueben. We left with a bottle of hop rocket, a bottle of cereal killer, and pleased with the overall experience.

Made a run to Arcadia to have lunch and pick up a couple sixers of the canned version of Whitsun. Road and sidewalks were under construction and we successfully navigated the fencing, stakes, and plywood sidewalks to arrive shortly after they opened at noon. We were on a mission!
We were immediately greeted at the door and invited to pick a place to sit. The greeter - Kelly - turned out to be our waitress also and she took very good care of us.
I tried a Shipwreck Porter since I haven't yet cracked the wax on the one bottle I bought a couple months ago. A very nice brew, and I'll let mine sit in the bottle for a while longer to settle down some more.
Food was top notch. My 14yr old and I both ordered the Cuban with pulled pork - excellent. However, my 18 yr old got the Brewer's brisket that was even better. At $9 a plate I rated this as a bit pricey, but I had no problem paying that kind of money for lunch of that caliber. Like everything, you get what you pay for.
It has been at least eight years since I've been here, and I shall not wait that long between visits again. I've already decided on the Brewer's brisket with a couple pints of Hopmouth or Hop Rocket if they're available. Heavenly...

Myself and two of my buddies drove an hour or so north to check this place out simply because we had nothing better to do. Getting there is a piece of cake and Battle Creek is a pretty cool town otherwise as well. We made a point to stop by the church of scientology and take pictures on the way back for a good laugh since it was just a couple of blocks down the road.
The building itself is amongst the other shops on the main strip downtown. Once getting inside you can see almost half of the building itself is the brewery seperated by glass. There is plenty of tables and a fairly long bar that could seat at least twenty people. The kitchen is cool as it is just one man behind a counter with a fire oven going behind him. We got there a little before 1 and there was very few people there. After hanging out for a couple hours I noticed it had picked up a bit, and people seemed to take their time here.
The food was excellent, it wasn't cheap but it was worth the money. Everything seemed very fresh and the menu had things that everyone could eat. But they also seemed to offer things that are a little less common which interested me. I ordered the Goose with cranberry porter sauce and it was excellent. There was enough here that if I lived close by I would probobly dig a little deeper into the menu.
As far as the beers go I can't say I was too entirely impressed. They were all good and very fresh but none of them blew my mind. I got a London Porter, Starboard Stout, and their IPA. The porter wasn't bad but had a funny aftertaste and the Stout was served on a Nitrotap, which immediatly turned me off. However, the IPA was very enjoyable as was the amber my buddy had. I tried a taste of the Scotch ale before we left and wished I had gotten that.
They don't have much of a gift shop to speak of but there was a counter with some T-shirts and that in it. I had to ask our waitress for a pint glass and she ran upstairs and found one for me. They did have most of thier beers to go in a warm stack or out of the cooler. Their was six-packs or individual bottles, and you could also mix and match. They had a cheese spread that interested me, but I decided to just get a couple bombers of their Double IPA and a variety pack for my buddy.
In retrospect it was a fun experience and I would recommend it if you are in Battle Creek. Seeing as how Bell's is about 20 min one direction and Dark Horse is about 15 in the other, I am not sure if I will ever make it back there.

Wonderful place, a must visit IMO. Atmosphere was great, place keeps pretty buys it seems, and with a parking garage right across the street, parking is no problem. The quality of the beer was great. I tried 5 (which I reviewed) and they were great for the most part. The waitress was helpful and quick with a great attitude. They all seemed like that as well. The selection was good, but not great. They had 7 beers on tap, but you could buy their others in bottle form. They food is, by far, the best brewpub food I have ever had in my entire life. The pizza was the best pizza I have ever had. They cook it on a wood grill, and it just makes the food alone worth a visit. Prices were pretty good. I got a growler, 5 beers, and a meal for $35. I think that pretty reasonable.

A:Very nice with a big open area for family dining and seating at the bar with some over tables as well. Very laid back atmosphere
Q:Brews were tasty especially their Bitter and Hop Rocket(which is their IIPA and served in a pint glass for $5.50 which I thought was excellent) Did not have any food but their brickhouse oven was filling the place with a great aroma.
S:Was fairly quick with a knowledgable host that was very nice
S:Very decent, seem to have something for everyone at this stop on our brew tour
This was my second favorite stop on our tour threw Michigan (next to Dark Horse) and I will hopefully be heading back within the next few months

Went here to celebrate a family birthday. This place is awesome. Very friendly service and great atmosphere. Nice old time bar feel. Great music and had sports on the TVs. Had great beer selection. I had the Sky High Rye and Hops Mouth beer. Very tasty. My party also enjoyed the Whitsun. The place smells of beer, bbq and pizza. Everything we had to eat was awesome and the portion are generous. Food as good as the beer. All ate, drank and was merry. Thanks for the great time. We come back soon for our next celebration.

Came in later in the evening. Friendly staff without the attitude... something that is always appreciated. We were allowed to get samples of beer and everything we tasted was pretty good. We were still a little full from the last place we went to so we didn't try anything. I know it was late, but the atmosphere was still pretty dark, and being in the culinary industry I have a hard time trying food in a dark/dank environment. Iv'e never been to the brewery until now but have been drinking their beers for a while now. They really seem to be improving!

Stop #1 of 6 in our I-94 brewery tour. Went with a group of 11, which kind of overwhelmed their staff early on a Saturday. The restaurant itself is reminiscent of English style pubs with wood paneling on the walls. All the tables were actually old doors laid flat with glass on top which was kinda cool and interesting. I have always liked Arcadia brews and I wasn't disappointed at the brewery. I was however a little upset that they were only able to serve two samplers at a time. Seemed a little odd for a brewpub, but I was lucky enough to get one. Seasonal brews on tap were a Double IPA and Triple Chocolate Stout. Both were very tasty. Their ESB was the favorite of my group, even for the non-beer drinkers.
Our waiter was patient even though our group was a little obnoxious. We had a light lunch of appetizers which were all quick and delicious.
After lunch I took a better look around. The brewery itself is next door to the restaurant and you can look in through windows which run the entire length of the building. One of the managers/brewers/men in charge came over to answer our questions. I asked for a tour (knowing I probably wouldn't get one) and was astonished to find out that all of their beers are open fermented. Good reason for not allowing a bunch of college kids poke around.
Overall it was the perfect stop to our trip. If in Battle Creek I will definitely stop back again.

We stopped here on a Thursday, just before lunch, I hadn't had any beers from Arcadia in a few years and it was on our way to Lansing after visiting Bell's. It was a huge open space, wood fire burning and the production area open to see in (nothing going on in there). We ordered a sampler which was a mix selected by our very friendly waitress.
My wife and I happened to both select the same item off of the menu, club sandwich, and it was perhaps one of the best club sandwiches I've ever had, not sure why, but it was great. As it got closer to noon, a few more people came in for lunch, but again, a Thursday morning so not too busy. We also ordered a sampler of beers, 1/3 of them were very good, the rest OK. We ended up buying a few mixed six packs to bring home of some beers that we hadn't even tried, but sounded good, they didn't have any Hop Rocket in bottles which was a bit dissappointing as I had heard that I needed to try it.
As far as value goes, I'm really not sure, I don't remember being suprised by the bill, but also didn't really look at it. We were able to park directly across the street which was nice also. I look forward to reviewing some of the beers that we bought in the next few days, hope we found a gem or two in there.

A pleasant eating experience, as past reviews have noted. We were still commenting about the food long after we had left. The staff were friendly and we had a nice discussion going about the beer and our somewhat connectedness with each other. Just the right kind of repartee. Thank you, all.
Beer selection was a bit goofy. Having no experience with ABC, we went for the sampler. We were very interested in the Cocoa Loco. They had a Coffee Cocoa Loco on tap, instead. Thanks for the warning. I am not a coffee fan and this was a huge letdown. Understanding that things change (and they should!) I got over that. Other selections were a mixed bag. Several of the big beers we wanted to taste were not available on tap, only in bottles for take-out. Awkward. But I did find the IPAs which I normally just suck down because I do not care for them, did have some redeeming qualities (not overtly hopped) and tastier than the Red Ale. H-m-m.
All-in-all, we will go back, make sure we try some more of the food menu, and find a beer or two that suits our tastes.
