This place is located in downtown or near downtown Battle Creek. We went there on Sunday and parking was not a problem. They have a bar, restaurant and a small shop where they sell many of their own bottled beers and a few items like tee-shirts and maybe hats. It was not busy on that Sunday which was nice since we got to chat with the bartender and other staff. They were very friendly.
The atmosphere inside the bar is good, consisting of a large open restaurant in front and good sized bar bar toward the back. It is big and open and rather dark. The entire wall on the right side of the bar is glass, allowing a visual tour of their brewing equipment, fermentation and storage tanks as well as their bottling line. That is pretty impressive and has to be the defining feature of this place..
The beer ranged from good to very good and the selection was good. They had 10 of their beers on tap and a beer engine that I forgot to ask about. I tried them all since they only served their samplers in complete sets and the price is quite reasonable. That is 10, 5 oz samples for 10 bucks. The HopMouth and B-Craft were standouts as was their Sky High Rye. I took home a growler of the HopMouth for $14 and my brother took home the Sky High for $16.
We sat at the bar and the service was good. The bartender very attentive and he and other staff were very knowledgeable about their beer. We didn't try the food. I would go there again if I were in town.
Beers sampled: Nut Brown Ale, ESB, Irish Red, Sky High Rye, B-Craft Black IPA, Loch Down Scotch Ale, HopMouth Double IPA, London Porter, Starboard Stout, Hop Rocket Imperial IPA

First of all, I believe I paid only $7 for a sampler and got a good line up of beers. Was also able to try a few of their rarer beers as well. The place had a good retro vibe to it without being dingy. Much of the brewing equipment was seen from the pub itself and the service was also very good to excellent. Considering this was an afterthought on my beercation (Arcadia at least at that point wasn't distributed in Wisconsin) I was thoroughly impressed. I now dub the I-94 stretch across Michigan as the beer highway. I will definitely visit again.

Stopped here mid-day on a Sunday, after Bell's and before going to Marshall for Dark Horse.
"Downtown" Battle Creek was dead, we parked righto out front of the brewery/pub and sat at the bar.
Ordered the taster flight which was an impressive 11 beers, with healthy 4oz+ pours of each. A good mix of Arcadia staples and some special brewery only beers including a delicious Oatmeal Stout, Double Black IPA, and a well done English IPA.
For food, we ordered beer cheese and crackers, which was ok as an appetizer but a little generic. The pizza however, with goat cheese, onions, tomato, bacon, and some other stuff was very good. We destroyed that.
Service was overall good, one of the brewmasters was tending bar helping out his wife and their (adorable) newborn son who was there. He admitted to not knowing exactly what he was doing but did not mess up anything.
Overall, it was a good place to sit and watch some football, bring some beers, and eat some food - what else more could one want?

A:Very nice with a big open area for family dining and seating at the bar with some over tables as well. Very laid back atmosphere
Q:Brews were tasty especially their Bitter and Hop Rocket(which is their IIPA and served in a pint glass for $5.50 which I thought was excellent) Did not have any food but their brickhouse oven was filling the place with a great aroma.
S:Was fairly quick with a knowledgable host that was very nice
S:Very decent, seem to have something for everyone at this stop on our brew tour
This was my second favorite stop on our tour threw Michigan (next to Dark Horse) and I will hopefully be heading back within the next few months

This was the second stop on the MI brew tour.
A- Nice opened up place which I thought was going to be smaller from the outside. Dim on the inside which was my only complaint. Brick oven located off to the side when you walk in. Just a nice looking brewpub.
Q- Everything that we had that day was amazing. The quality of the beer was good...not the best but you could tell it was brewed with greatness in mind. Didn't try the food so I couldn't comment on the quality of that although it did look very good.
S- The service was fantastic. Our waitress was one of the best I have seen in a long time. She took the time out to chit chat with us but was also very informative when we had questions. She along made the experiance worth while.
S- The selection here was great with about 12 plus beers to choose from and one or two hand pulls. I had no qualms about the selection for there was something for everyone there.
I thought the overall experiance here made this one of the better places we went to that day. I did enjoy the whole experiance and can not wait to get back up there again.

A pleasant eating experience, as past reviews have noted. We were still commenting about the food long after we had left. The staff were friendly and we had a nice discussion going about the beer and our somewhat connectedness with each other. Just the right kind of repartee. Thank you, all.
Beer selection was a bit goofy. Having no experience with ABC, we went for the sampler. We were very interested in the Cocoa Loco. They had a Coffee Cocoa Loco on tap, instead. Thanks for the warning. I am not a coffee fan and this was a huge letdown. Understanding that things change (and they should!) I got over that. Other selections were a mixed bag. Several of the big beers we wanted to taste were not available on tap, only in bottles for take-out. Awkward. But I did find the IPAs which I normally just suck down because I do not care for them, did have some redeeming qualities (not overtly hopped) and tastier than the Red Ale. H-m-m.
All-in-all, we will go back, make sure we try some more of the food menu, and find a beer or two that suits our tastes.

Michigan is a brewer's state, so if you're here you have to visit the locals. I am lucky enough to live within a 1.5 hour driving distance of at least four really exceptional breweries, Bell's, Dark Horse, New Holland, and Arcadia. As much as I enjoy Arcadia's beer (drinking their IPA right now) what must be mentioned about the bar is their food. Whether it's the barbecue smoking in the back or the brick pizza oven in the front, I have never tried anything here that I haven't loved. Really high quality ingredients, reasonable wait time, and reasonable prices. If you have to start with anything at Arcadia, you MUST try one of their pizzas. After tossing back a few nice Scotch Ales, their pizza is one of the best things you can do to your stomach. And if you come in the daytime you can watch the brewers at work from within the pub through a large glass window. The brewers and waitstaff have on numerous occasions talked beer with me and never in a condescending voice. Everyone that works here loves what they do and loves beer, and it shows.

Wonderful place, a must visit IMO. Atmosphere was great, place keeps pretty buys it seems, and with a parking garage right across the street, parking is no problem. The quality of the beer was great. I tried 5 (which I reviewed) and they were great for the most part. The waitress was helpful and quick with a great attitude. They all seemed like that as well. The selection was good, but not great. They had 7 beers on tap, but you could buy their others in bottle form. They food is, by far, the best brewpub food I have ever had in my entire life. The pizza was the best pizza I have ever had. They cook it on a wood grill, and it just makes the food alone worth a visit. Prices were pretty good. I got a growler, 5 beers, and a meal for $35. I think that pretty reasonable.

I headed to Arcadia after a long stint at Dark Horse. This is like going from a mom and pop shop to a huge mega mart. Arcadia was very large, with parking in the back. They had a really nice bar with a few tv's hung up. I don't remember what they had playing.
They had a decent selection of their beers and they do offer some nice beers. Hop Rocket is one of my favorites from Arcadia.
This spot was a little less about the beer (and I like it when the brewpub is mostly about the beer) so I wasn't a huge fan. People were there on a Friday night drinking soda and eating, I guess they have good food b/c ppl were using it as a restaurant.
The waitress was relatively nice but wasn't too helpful. I got a couple of beers to go and they were quite expensive to go along with a pretty expensive bar tab. I'll keep getting their beer from the case and go to dark horse if i'm looking for a brew pub.

Based on a visit there 10 15 09. Review from limited notes, mainly memory.
Atmosphere Kind of an open warehouse feel, as you enter the stone oven is on the left, deep and to the left is the brewery and more near you is the seating with enough for probably 150 people. The day that we went there it was only modestly full and it was easy to get a table. I liked the atmosphere which was very "brewpub" with the visible brewing facilities and I like the warehouse openness. 4.0
Quality Good with correctly presented beers, a modern kitchen and professional staff. 4.0
Service Good. Our waitress was patient and informative. We really did not interact with anyone else there. 4.0
Selection Fair to good. I do not think that Arcadia Ales are all that special but it is a micro brew pub so it is not like I think that it is bad. 3.5
Food The best part of our experience. We got a wood oven grilled pita with hummus that was simply incredible. We regret not ordering a pizza from that wood oven grill as I am sure that it would be been sublime. Really, my wife and I talked about how good that appetizer was for the day or so after that. 4.5
Value Just fine.
