arcadia had a nice atmosphere. like a local bar except with really good beer, I enjoyed that the lady working the door podium had no idea what a growler is. haha. nice. at least there wasn't any bs'ing or pretentiousness.

the quality was fine. the beers are fine. we didn't eat anything.

service was good. we were treated like human beings and without any snarls from the locals. always a plus.

selection was fine. there were no amazing treats, but my pint was imperial huge and the b craft was good.

reasonably priced. nice joint. no attitude. friendly locals. I will say do yourself a favor and stop in there if you are rolling through. the friendliness of the staff was refreshing after dealing with the folks at the prior stop. thanks.

Didn't recognize the pic on the BA site because I had to walk in the back because the street in front of Arcadia is completely torn up in the downtown region. Follow the detour, and no problem. Walk in and there's an immense wooden bar with an angled rectangle jutting out into the floor space of this historic building. Brewery looks pretty big and behind glass opposite of the bar. Maybe should've waited on dinner and had a pizza from the wood stove in the corner. Hot in the bar, but with the heat wave outside, it's hard to imagine that any place was very cool that day. Had a couple drafts--Hopmouth and B-Craft Black IPA. Both well served and delicious. Tried the homemade ale cheese with crackers, and except for a personal taste of being too strong on the mustard, it was good. Open friendly atmosphere with families, young and old all hanging out in the restaurant portion next to the bar. Attentive service. A very good stop that I would repeat if I found myself in downtown Battle Creek again.

Stopped by here for a beer and dinner. They normally have a decent selection of beer styles and 1 cask. The menu has many upscale items for a brewpub. I had the duck breast which was fantastic. The only problem was the size of the meal. The entire meal was so small I was still hungry and at 15 dollars a slight ripoff. The service is always very prompt here and the wait staff are very nice. This is more of a family type place then a bar so bringing small children is the norm. They have a mug club with only about 50 mugs. Funny, only that many for as long as they have been open.

Went here to celebrate a family birthday. This place is awesome. Very friendly service and great atmosphere. Nice old time bar feel. Great music and had sports on the TVs. Had great beer selection. I had the Sky High Rye and Hops Mouth beer. Very tasty. My party also enjoyed the Whitsun. The place smells of beer, bbq and pizza. Everything we had to eat was awesome and the portion are generous. Food as good as the beer. All ate, drank and was merry. Thanks for the great time. We come back soon for our next celebration.

Made a run to Arcadia to have lunch and pick up a couple sixers of the canned version of Whitsun. Road and sidewalks were under construction and we successfully navigated the fencing, stakes, and plywood sidewalks to arrive shortly after they opened at noon. We were on a mission!

We were immediately greeted at the door and invited to pick a place to sit. The greeter - Kelly - turned out to be our waitress also and she took very good care of us.

I tried a Shipwreck Porter since I haven't yet cracked the wax on the one bottle I bought a couple months ago. A very nice brew, and I'll let mine sit in the bottle for a while longer to settle down some more.

Food was top notch. My 14yr old and I both ordered the Cuban with pulled pork - excellent. However, my 18 yr old got the Brewer's brisket that was even better. At $9 a plate I rated this as a bit pricey, but I had no problem paying that kind of money for lunch of that caliber. Like everything, you get what you pay for.

It has been at least eight years since I've been here, and I shall not wait that long between visits again. I've already decided on the Brewer's brisket with a couple pints of Hopmouth or Hop Rocket if they're available. Heavenly...

This place is located in downtown or near downtown Battle Creek. We went there on Sunday and parking was not a problem. They have a bar, restaurant and a small shop where they sell many of their own bottled beers and a few items like tee-shirts and maybe hats. It was not busy on that Sunday which was nice since we got to chat with the bartender and other staff. They were very friendly.

The atmosphere inside the bar is good, consisting of a large open restaurant in front and good sized bar bar toward the back. It is big and open and rather dark. The entire wall on the right side of the bar is glass, allowing a visual tour of their brewing equipment, fermentation and storage tanks as well as their bottling line. That is pretty impressive and has to be the defining feature of this place..

The beer ranged from good to very good and the selection was good. They had 10 of their beers on tap and a beer engine that I forgot to ask about. I tried them all since they only served their samplers in complete sets and the price is quite reasonable. That is 10, 5 oz samples for 10 bucks. The HopMouth and B-Craft were standouts as was their Sky High Rye. I took home a growler of the HopMouth for $14 and my brother took home the Sky High for $16.

We sat at the bar and the service was good. The bartender very attentive and he and other staff were very knowledgeable about their beer. We didn't try the food. I would go there again if I were in town.

Beers sampled: Nut Brown Ale, ESB, Irish Red, Sky High Rye, B-Craft Black IPA, Loch Down Scotch Ale, HopMouth Double IPA, London Porter, Starboard Stout, Hop Rocket Imperial IPA

First of all, I believe I paid only $7 for a sampler and got a good line up of beers. Was also able to try a few of their rarer beers as well. The place had a good retro vibe to it without being dingy. Much of the brewing equipment was seen from the pub itself and the service was also very good to excellent. Considering this was an afterthought on my beercation (Arcadia at least at that point wasn't distributed in Wisconsin) I was thoroughly impressed. I now dub the I-94 stretch across Michigan as the beer highway. I will definitely visit again.

Stopped here mid-day on a Sunday, after Bell's and before going to Marshall for Dark Horse.

"Downtown" Battle Creek was dead, we parked righto out front of the brewery/pub and sat at the bar.

Ordered the taster flight which was an impressive 11 beers, with healthy 4oz+ pours of each. A good mix of Arcadia staples and some special brewery only beers including a delicious Oatmeal Stout, Double Black IPA, and a well done English IPA.

For food, we ordered beer cheese and crackers, which was ok as an appetizer but a little generic. The pizza however, with goat cheese, onions, tomato, bacon, and some other stuff was very good. We destroyed that.

Service was overall good, one of the brewmasters was tending bar helping out his wife and their (adorable) newborn son who was there. He admitted to not knowing exactly what he was doing but did not mess up anything.

Overall, it was a good place to sit and watch some football, bring some beers, and eat some food - what else more could one want?

A:Very nice with a big open area for family dining and seating at the bar with some over tables as well. Very laid back atmosphere

Q:Brews were tasty especially their Bitter and Hop Rocket(which is their IIPA and served in a pint glass for $5.50 which I thought was excellent) Did not have any food but their brickhouse oven was filling the place with a great aroma.

S:Was fairly quick with a knowledgable host that was very nice

S:Very decent, seem to have something for everyone at this stop on our brew tour

This was my second favorite stop on our tour threw Michigan (next to Dark Horse) and I will hopefully be heading back within the next few months

Cheers

This was the second stop on the MI brew tour.

A- Nice opened up place which I thought was going to be smaller from the outside. Dim on the inside which was my only complaint. Brick oven located off to the side when you walk in. Just a nice looking brewpub.

Q- Everything that we had that day was amazing. The quality of the beer was good...not the best but you could tell it was brewed with greatness in mind. Didn't try the food so I couldn't comment on the quality of that although it did look very good.

S- The service was fantastic. Our waitress was one of the best I have seen in a long time. She took the time out to chit chat with us but was also very informative when we had questions. She along made the experiance worth while.

S- The selection here was great with about 12 plus beers to choose from and one or two hand pulls. I had no qualms about the selection for there was something for everyone there.

I thought the overall experiance here made this one of the better places we went to that day. I did enjoy the whole experiance and can not wait to get back up there again.
