Went here to celebrate a family birthday. This place is awesome. Very friendly service and great atmosphere. Nice old time bar feel. Great music and had sports on the TVs. Had great beer selection. I had the Sky High Rye and Hops Mouth beer. Very tasty. My party also enjoyed the Whitsun. The place smells of beer, bbq and pizza. Everything we had to eat was awesome and the portion are generous. Food as good as the beer. All ate, drank and was merry. Thanks for the great time. We come back soon for our next celebration.

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago. Food and beer were both great. We sat along the wall that divides the restaurant from the brewing side of the building so we were able to see what was going on over there was well. Service was not terribly friendly, but was quick. Definitely worth checking out!

Pretty standard brewpub feel. Beer selection broken into "tiers" much like Founders. Haven't had a ton from Arcadia, so I opted for a sampler of Brigid's Irish Red, Loch Ness, Whitsun, IPA, and the 16th Anniversary. All were solidly above average, but wouldn't classify any as mind-blowing. Also had a pizza that was delicious. Total price for the sampler and a pizza was about $20, not too bad overall. Service was just average - waitress wasn't too helpful but was there enough. If there weren't the other stellar MI breweries to compare it to, it would have probably come off much better, but in comparison, it's just average.

stopped in for lunch saturday mid afternoon. brewery is located on a desolate, almost vacant downtown street which clearly punctuates battle creek’s current economic woes. brewery/pub is an expansive space: industrial feel but w. lower ceilings, exposed brick oven/kitchen space. service is young, naive, and unprofessional. food is OK. but the bacon wrapped figs w. goat cheese are very tasty. sampled starboard stout, sky high rye, hopmouth double IPA, and loch down, b-craft, and brigid's irish red. in my opinion, the irish red was solid - but the other beers were really lackluster/average.

Made a quick stop for a beer on our way from Bell's to Dark Horse in preparation for 4 Elf 2012.
The bar and restaurant were fairly busy. Most of the tables were occupied. It had a pizza type smell in the dining room. Appears to me to be an older place, with a long bar that kind of slithers the length of the dining room, with booths behind and small tables behind it. They have about 8-10 beers on tap. The bar is a formica counter top, maybe something you'd see in a trailer or mobile home from 1978 or so.
They did not have the BBBW or BB Imperial Stout in bottles, which was part of the reason why we stopped, hoping to score a couple bottles of each. We had a quick beer on tap, and decided to press on. The bartender wasn't unfriendly, but you could tell he was busy and didn't really pay us any attention, until we started talking about the bottles of BA stuff they didn't have. He explained to us they were having some label issues, but they had the XV and 15 for sale...I had heard of the beers, but hadn't been able to try them, so we bought two of each, and he threw in a glass for us being beer geeks and travelling from the U.P. to stop at their place. I appreciated that.
Overall, it was a great experience. I'd like to go back sometime and chill out and have some lunch, but the first stop was positive enough for me to stop and try some food and enjoy this place again.

The beer was great, the food was good, the service was bad. So overall a pretty typical craft brewery visit. The atmosphere was cool, large windows overlook their brewing operation, fairly large bar, converted doors being used as tables. Small kitchen with wood fire pizza set up. The only down fall was the bartender, she was pretty much nonexistent. I had to wait for forever to get a food menu, once I finally got one I had to share it with the people next to me, because apparently the bar tender never brought them their menus. I only had one pint because it sat empty for 20 minutes before I seen the bartender again, I was afraid if i asked for anther drink i'd have to wait an hour to receive it.

However, if your a craft beer fan its wroth a stop if your in the area. But, nothing I would make a special trip for.

Arcadia Brewing Company is the home of my first brewery experience. My old buddy was once an assistant brewaster there. I used to regularly hang out with my buddies at Arcadia before I moved four hours away. One of my regrets about moving so far is that Arcadia beers are not available here.
If you like hearty beer, Arcadia is the place. There are no ordinary beers at Arcadia. Every recipe is unique unto them. Whenever I visit Battle Creek and bring samples of Arcadia back with me, my new friends are stunned with the quality of Arcadia's brew.
The food is consistenly good. They offer wood-fired pizzas cooked in a stone oven that will rock your world! It seems crazy to say it, but try the ceasar salad... and don't forget the anchovies. This is a pub worth taking a date to.
Arcadia will not dissapoint. Give them a try soon.

I have been to Arcadia quite a few times through the years, and, while not quite on a par with Bells/Founders etc., their beers have improved greatly IMO.

Usually a decent # of choices,10-12 I would guess, with a wide variety of styles. Most beers are served in imperial pint glasses, and prices are quite reasonable. A couple of wine selections, but no liquor.

Food is really quite good, the brisket sandwich and my wifes BLT on my last visit were both quite good.

We always sit at the bar,and service is friendly and quick.Nice mix of clientel.

A worthwhile stop.

I’ve been here a few times for the beers and always enjoyed my experience. But this review will be for everything but the beer as I joined some locals for their first visit—while nursing a bit of a stomach flu which prevented me from drinking anything. I managed.

The service was on-point throughout my visit. My companions ordered beer and wine (they have both) while I stuck with water and salivated from a distance. We ordered a couple of appetizers and some main courses. I had a few vegetarian options to choose from.

The appetizers came out almost immediately, and both would have been enough to make a meal. Large portions! The sandwich, wrap and personal pizza were all equally large and could have made a second dinner for lesser eaters. The food itself wasn’t incredible, but that’s a problem plaguing many, many establishments—not just breweries. All that said, I’ll definitely be back next chance I get… For the beer. I have some make-up work to get to!

I went to the brewery over the summer and overall had a pretty good experience.

The downtown area was under construction and there was a weird "post-nuclear fallout" feel to the streets around the brewery. However, the place was absolutely packed with people and the atmosphere was pretty electric.

Sat at the bar, had two or three beers while watching the wings game on tv. The bartender was nice and pretty well informed about beer. Had a good time, not going to go out of my way to come back, its not really a must stop if your going on a Michigan brewery trip but I wasn’t a bad experience.
