I had this on tap at Ashley's, finally a good bartender suggestion...The beer pours a dark brown without a ton of retention...The aroma is pretty sweet, lots of cream and coffee, but how a baltic porter should be...The taste starts off sweet then heads down the coffee bitter path a little. Super easy to drink and a nice feel, a really solid beer.

Review from notes. Poured from tap at the brewery 10 15 09 into a clean, clear glass.

A Very dark body but mohagany in front of direct light. Body lets very little light through. Creamy head with lacing. 4.0

S Medium roast malt smell. Not a strong smell at all. 3.0

T Medium to dark roast malt, kick of alcohol that I did not care for too much. This is a rather basic porter taste with that kick of alcohol and barley, hops bitterness. 3.0

M Moderate feel. Physically the beer is a bit thin but the alcohol and bitterness beef up the feel. 3.5

D Fair. I did not find this porter to be particularly drinkable due to the harshness of the bitterness. 2.5
