The name made me wanna try it, the color looked good, and then everything fell apart. It poors a cloudy orange with head that is minimal and does not persist. The smell is overpowered with alcohol. I know it is 9%, but I have had some great hop concoctions in the same ballpark with no alcohol odor or taste. Hints o' pine are there too. The taste follows suit with the odor, which starts with a weak pine citrus leaving a sharp alcohol flavor on the tongue at the end. I drank the entire 6 pack, but would not buy again.

Date on bottle says 1/29/13

A - Poured a nice 2 finger white head with a crystal clear light golden amber body. Appears well carbonated.

S - Nice and balance hop malt aroma. Hops are earthy, mango, citrus, a slight pungent hop aroma of simco, this is balanced with malty sweetness of caramel. Very pleasant to smell.

T - Lots of hops right up front of pungent dank hops, lemon rind, a floral flavor, slight mango, additional malt sweetness to balance this one out. Not as citrusy as the smell was. The heat can be felt on the back of the throat.

M - This is a full bodied fluffy soft feeling chewy brew. Very nice but the hop bitterness is agressive on the palate and you will notice after a while. High carbonation balance this creamy fluffy mouth of this.

O - This is a great beer to have once in a while, and is a definite unique brew; every hop head should seek this one out. It is pricey but has some stand out qualities. Not my favorite hops, but still delivers a massive amount of hops. Try one and see what you think. Cheers!
