Pours an amber-copper color, very cloudy except at the edges of the glass. The beige head sits at a quarter-inch for a while, leaving decent lacing on its way down. The nose is pretty aromatic and perfumey on the hop-side of things; slight spicy tones, roses, florals, moderate citrus, grapefruit, and faint apple. Quite a bit of bread and toasted malt on the nose as well. The beer is moderately thick and a bit sticky, not quite viscous enough to be called "syrupy", but certainly just outside of this range. Hop profile comes on strong and crowds the palate as expected; roses, perfume, white pepper spice, mild grapefruit rind, orange zest. Alcohol is a little noticeable, providing more than just a warmth - a slight rubbing alcohol flavor is coming off of it, but not enough to be too off-putting or undrinkable.
The malt backbone is more than just a backbone here - it takes on quite a bit of the flavor profile; light, toasted bread, faint caramel, crackers. Despite the high malt flavor, the hops never subside too much, remaining in tact through the entirety of the sip in a spicy, herbal, perfumey, and faintly floral manner. The aftertaste consists of a hefty helping of alcohol, faint herbal bitterness, and some bread and yeast that coats the edges of the mouth. On the low side of the carbonation scale.
Overall, not a bad brew from Arcadia. In my opinion, this one was much better than Hop Rocket. It wouldn't hurt the alcohol to be toned down just a bit, but it wasn't too bad.

Appearance: Copper ruby IPA. Excellent layer of white lacing. Very thick as well.
Smell: Sweet honey and caramel with a hint of maple syrup. Easily the sweetest DIPA I've ever smelled. Definitely malty for the style, but the maple creates a pine-line resin smell that is perfect for this.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Sweet pine, almost tastes like agave. A bit of a bubblegum twang as well. Alcohol hits you pretty quickly with this. Some orange rind in the finish. Very pleasant mouthfeel. Nice crispness and a very smooth finish. Not too heavy.
Overall: Very underrated.

Bottle > Sam Adam's Sensory Glass
A - Pours an amberish color, thick finger head white and foamy, medium lacing.
S - Resinouy Pine hops, toasted malt, rye, dark caramel. All that you smell is kinda subdued.
T - You get all the smells in the flavor, but its weak. The hops aren't really pronounced, but you get some bitterness, and an odd soapy flavor. Not horrid, but not great.
M - Medium mouthfeel, bitterness and that soapy flavor hang on.
O - After having the regular IPA, this is not nearly as good as that, its not really refreshing, nor does it have a good development of flavors, not sure what to think here other than its a letdown.

Pours a cloudy dark copper with a finger of head that dissipates rather quickly. The nose is reminiscent of tangerines. There is definitely malt present and upfront in the flavor profile. Hops are present as well, but not at the volume found in most top tier DIPAs. The finish is semi-dry an a touch bitter. There is some definite booziness both before the finish and as part of the aftertaste.
I am not quite sure what I am drinking here. It's not really a DIPA, rather it is more like an Imperial ESB (if there is such a thing).

Served in a pint glass at Derby Station in EGR. Was a fairly dark amber color with a small amount of white foamy head. The aroma was mild, was expecting a far more aggressive hoppy smell but just a hint of pine. The taste was also surprising but pleasantly so - the piney hops were there at the start, but quickly faded. This beer is quite balanced, and the hops seemed to blend nicely with the malts. The carbonation helps balance the mouthfeel as well, had to watch myself as this went down very easy. Really nice beer.
