Paid $15 even for the Midwest Taster...

The appearence is starts out with a hazy amber color with a medium head, nice retention and nice lacing as well, a pretty beer. The smell is a bold one of citrus, malt and floral aromas.

The taste is pretty solid with the smell. You get what you smell, the citrus really took control of my mouth with this beer. The mouthfeel works well all around the palette from start to finish. The drinkability is good for 2 or 3, but no more after that, it's hoppier than most Pale Ales that I'v eever had.

Final Thought: Very impressed with this one, the Midwest Taster is proving to be an excellent mix from this region!

Served on-tap in a 20oz glass at Buffalo Wild Wings. $4.75 during their Happy Hour. Not bad.

Appearance: Not bad at all. Has a typical pale ale color with a nice two/three finger head. Lacing lasts until the end of the glass. Above average.

Smell: Average. Smells like a pale ale with a nice, slightly spicy note with the malts and hops. Pleasant.

Taste/feel: I was expecting a rating of about 84 for this beer, but was surprised at the 76. This is my first beer from Arcadia, and I like it a lot. Being a pale ale, it's not the most exciting beer in the world, but it's insanely drinkable, has a very nice mouth feel, and the finish is clean. A refreshing English Pale Ale that I'd love to have again. One of the best that I've had of the style. Seems that I'm the minority, as a lot of people don't care for it that much. Maybe I got a fresh keg? I dig it.
