lection Day is underway in America, and as millions vote across the country, we at 1009 are reflecting on what it truly means to be an American. With this in mind, I present to you this offering from Moat Mountain. This ale, beautiful in color, boasts a robust blend of flavors, none too offensive nor too soft-spoken. This is America in a can. Some may not like it, but most will, for in the end, home is where the heart is. Get out there and vote, if you haven’t already, ‘Niners — this is going to be one for the ages.

look is light gold with a 1/2 inch thick foam lingering head
smell citrus hops not over powering in fact the malt shines through
taste creamy pale ale - balance but seems much lighter than the abv at 5.6 in fact i had to check the can cause it seems more like a blonde ale
feel is medium light
overall a solid ale - crushable but average for a micro brew.

It pours a golden color and leaves the same color body. With a one inch foamy white head, there is a nice spider webbed lacing speckling the pint glass. Some light carbonation is seen slowly rising. The smell has a good combination between the malts and the hops. The taste is even between the malts and hops. I would say this is very drinkable. The palate is about a light to medium with a good crispness lingering about it. There is nothing harsh on the tongue. Overall, this is a decent brew, standard and solid, but for the price, I’m not sure if I would have come back to it.
