Notes:
Not to be boastful, but we honestly believe all others pale in comparison to this one. Crisp and hoppy, Philadelphia Pale Ale is brewed with Pilsner malt and American hops, which impart a surprising citrus aroma.

Got this in the Yards sampler case. Pours a golden amber color with a minimal white head. The aroma was quite mild, consisting of soft malts, and a bit of floral hoppiness.
The mouthfeel was surprisingly smooth with just a touch of carbonation. The taste is clean and unoffensive...it could use a lot of hops. Its definitely lacking in that area. Mostly malt flavor with a touch of bitterness at the finish. To me, this tastes more like a lager than a pale ale...if they infused this brew with some hops it would be a lot better. Nonetheless, it certainly isn't bad and is quite easy to drink.

It is golden in color with a fluffy white head that holds pretty well. There are a lot of little floaties in this one, and it looks like a snowglobe, just golden. The aroma was very unique, but I picked up some pale malts and some dough.
The flavor is lacking a bit. It has a sweet start of malts. It then dries out to a taste of white bread. The flavor certainly wasn't bad, it was just simple and there was something missing. I needed more flavor, and maybe a slightly different flavor. It does well for a drinker, however.

Transparent-light brown/orangish color. Pours a tiny fluffy white head that disapates quickly, leaving what looks like a cloud in a sky of orange-brown. A fairly attractive looking beer...Its smell is disappointing though. Somewhat of a grainy and sour aroma. Maybe the style though, this is my first english mild pale ale. Taste is a little sour but its overall hop flavor is an enjoyable bitterness. No prevalant malt taste. Carbonation is non-exsistant and body is medium. Couldnt drink many of these, its too sour. Maybe this one was starting to get a little skunked. I got a six pack of it, if the others taste different I will edit the review.

Amber-tinged golden colour with a decent, average head. Some lacing. It's fairly clear despite being bottle-conditioned. Lightly hopped nose, with a little caramel malt - I thought. Flavour is relatively hoppy, but balanced. I think I'm really getting into the hops lately - this isn't overly hoppy, though. It's pleasant, and I could drink it for quite some time.

Copper in color with no head. The aroma is malty and caramel-like, but a bit weak. Hops show up a bit with warming. Flavor is also big on sweet caramel malt, with evident grainy notes and a strong bitter finish. Choice of hops and malt give this beer a decidedly "English" character. Medium-light body. Proclaimed a "session ale" in the blurb on the bottle, this beer is adequate in all respects, and would pair well with certain foods, but isn't something I would savor simply on its own.

This beer poured into the glass a orange-amber color that had some cloud to it. The head was a white in color that was not present for very long. No lace seemed to be present. The aroma was fruity and hops with a tad of malt were present. The taste was sweet with fruit/citrus and hops. A malt seemed to be present but not overpowering plus it added to the sweetness. A well balanced beer with flavors and smells. Would like to get a few to take home next time.

Beer poured a yeast clouded orange with a good head of white foam that settles to a ring. The aroma was rather light, with just a bit of malt sweetness and a bit of floral hops. The taste was decent with a nice bittersweet balance of malt and hops, just a bit on the citrusy side, kind of orange rindish. Smooth and easy drinking with a slightly dry finish, as Davo noted this would be a great session brew.

Nice, amber-orange in color, a little hazy. The head was nothing special, quickly went away. Fruity noble hop-influenced smell but without much malt. Very smooth in the mouth, modest carbonation and really appropriate balance of hop flavors. Also, flavors of toasted grains and a little malt sweetness were present. Overall, a pretty good beer. Very easy to drink.

Hazy orange with only a little white head after a fairly vigorous pour. Sweet citrusy aromas welcomed me to the first sup. Citrus followed into the mouth with some sweetness underneath. Fished dry and slightly bitter. Pretty well balanced and very easily drinkable. A nice brew.

Not a bad pale ale, although it could be a be more hoppy. I also have higher scale pale ale from them to try, so I may find my hops there. A nice looking beer from the pour. Very intriguing. Not an over powering aroma, but very do-able. Prost!

A very nice clean cut traditional English style Pale Ale...Pours a very nice copper color, with stuff floating around in there...A perfect blend of English malt and hops creates a refreshing, drinkable brew, with slight sweetness and a dry finish.Very smooth and easy to drink. Another good one from Yards brewing company.
