A: The beer is slightly hazy brownish red in color. It poured with a half finger high dark beige head that gradually died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface, a thin collar around the edge of the glass and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate of dark fruits are present in the nose along with some hints of spices.
T: The taste is reminiscent of a dubbel and has some sweetness and flavors of candi sugars and dark fruits along with some hints of spices towards the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is an interesting beer and I really liked it because it tasted liked an Imperial Dubbel, if the is such a style.

750ml bottle poured into a Chimay goblet glass.
AP: Nice rich dark brown colour with a 1/4" cream head that dissipates
AR: Really nice and complex aroma. Dark fruits (raisins and figs) are the first to hit my senses followed by toffee, baking chocolate, honey, caramel and under all that the light fruits (apricot, peach, white grape) try to push their way forward.
T: Taste follows the nose, but the lighter fruits have a stronger presence than in the aroma so the flavours are more in balance with each other. A hint of cola as well mixes in there making for a rather tasty brew.
M: Creamy with moderate carbonation, finish is surprisingly crisp and almost palate cleansing but at the very end there's a sticky coating of toffee and candi sugar that lingers.
OV: Intriguing blend of a Tripel and Dubbel that I thought was rather well done. I would seek to enjoy this one again, especially on draft.

From a 22 ounce bottle, this ne'er is a dark brown beer. The head is medium brown, thick, and lasting. The s,ell is of Belgian yeast and dark malt...almost molasses scents with a cookie-like scent. Allspice-like with some earthiness. The taste is semi-dry, with lots of warming alcohol. Medium bitterness and lots of spice. Full in body. Very good.

A - Two fingers worth of densely packed uber lush creamy light khaki colored batter like head with a lot of big chunky bubbles sitting atop... Solid retention... Once receded, there is a mostly full yet splotchy veil of lacing and a moderately thick collar... The color teeters on the edge of deep dark candy apple red and a medium brown... A limited bit of moderate paced carbonation throughout...
S - A huge inviting aroma can be detected without even bringing one's nose near the glass... Lots of dark fruit to start... Plums... Cherries... Dates... Fig... Raisins... Some light tobacco notes... A mix of caramel and toffee sweetness... Some brown sugar as well... The Tripel notes are much more muted, but still quite inviting... The first of these is the Belgian yeast... The second is a light subtle spiciness... There is also a faint booziness present as well...
T - Almost exactly as the nose would lead you to expect... Lots of dark bing cherries... Plums are abundant as well... Some fig and date notes as well... The Belgian yeast and spicness takes a distant back seat, but are still adequately present and provides additional depth and complexity...
M - On the fuller side of medium bodied... Sturdy and satisfying... On some slight carbonation... Smooth... Even and consistent... Goes down easily sip after sip after sip...
D - Very satisfying... Every facet of this beer is a success and I have no complaints... This brew only helps to solidify my the lofty regard in which I hold Yards... I can highly recommend this without hesitation...
