Poured from corked bomber into tulip. Really cool looking bottle.
Pour is a hazy golden brown with nice sticky lacing and thick white head. Looks fantastic.
Nice dried sweet fruity malt aroma. It actually smells and tastes likes a boozed up version of the Brooklyn lager. Really cool. Nice sweetness to it and some booze.
Usually I let my brew warm up a bit but this is beter cold...like any lager.
Its a fantastic brew. If 25 year anniversary brew is this good...im looking forward to 50!

10oz pour on-tap into a tulip.
Appearance
Burnt amber with a short head that dissipates quickly. Excellent clarity with low-moderate carbonation.
Nose
Bready malts, caramel, dark fruit and floral hops.
Taste
Nicely malted lager. Big doses of bread, caramel and candy sugars. Touches of dark fruit with some red grape flavors. Well hopped with big floral aromas. Touches of lemon, tangerine, papaya and pineapple.
Mouthfeel
Medium-full bodied, clean and crisp.
Overall
Brooklyn Lager x2. Hell yes! Nicely balanced and an absolute treat.

Pours a clear deep golden color. Smell of candied malts, citrus and sweet bread. Alcohol is present but not too strong in the aroma. In the taste, copious amount of bready malt and bright citrusy hops. There are some leafy, earthy, grassy flavor to the hops, which works really nice with the big, toasted, bready malts and lager yeast. Medium bodied feel with an even carbonation. Drinks smooth with little hint of the abv. Overall, this is a great lager, and worthy of being an Anniversary lager. Quite good.

bottle picked up locally, enjoyed from a brooklyn snifter.
a - poured a soft copper mahogany hazelnut with a generous frothy foamy head.
s - toasted crystalized malts with some white pepper.
t - taste is lively. grapes and nuttiness. toasted crystalized malts.
m - zippy carbonation finishes cooling with subtle bitterness.
o - overall enjoyable. not a classic doppelbock, but i don't think that is what the intention was on this. unique and interesting and downright thirst quenching.

A-dark orange caramel color with three fingers worth of cream head that
S-bready malt, light caramel, and earthy floral hops
T-similar to the smell with a backbone of caramel malt, brown sugar, with a decent amount of grapefruit hops. Alcohol is well hidden.
M-medium body, very smooth, spicy carbonation
Overall not what I would describe as a doppelbock at all, but very smooth and balanced tasting

Pours a clear copper hue with a creamy three finger head and lacing everywhere not very doppelbock looking but nice looking, the smell is sweet malts, brown sugar, raisins and some herbal earthy hops, the mouthfeel is medium bodied with minimal carbonation and has tastes of dark fruits, raisins, sweet malts and finished with a nice subtle dose of earthy hops to keep it real and overall it's no doppelbock to my liking but its really drinkable but wouldn't buy again cheers.
