Notes:
Early American colonialists, seeking natural ingredients for brewing ales, turned to pumpkins, which were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious. Blended with barley malt, pumpkins became a commonly used beer ingredient. Post Road Pumpkin Ale brings back this tasty tradition. Hundreds of pounds of pumpkins are blended into the mash of each batch, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center, and crisp finish.

A - Clear, light amber color with a small white head. Quickly fades to a thin cap with little to no lacing.

S - Toasty malt, pumpkin, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, nutmeg. Smells like a scratch made pumpkin pie.

T - A touch of sweetness up front, but quickly fades into a spicy, earthy tartness. The hops that aren't noticible in the nose come through here with a slightly bitter finish. Not much pumpkin flavor here, though.

M - Full bodied but with enough carbonation to keep things from being too heavy.

D - This is a nice beer, but it seems to be lacking in the pumpkin flavor department. It tends to feature the spices a bit more, but that works for my tastes. Worth trying, but not a standout in the crowded field of fall beers.

A: Pours a great amber color with tan head, light lacing down glass.

S: Aroma is of typical pumpkin pie spices cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg.

T: Taste is more of the same, pie spices. Light malt, hop presence not detectable to me.

M: Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation.

O: Overall a good beer and loved all six of these great easy drinkers.

A - Deep orange, almost brown. Looks like a standard pumpkin ale, with a light white foam ring crowning it well. Good retention.

S - Mostly pumpkin, backed by a solid biscuit malt. Slightly sweet, with some very faint cinammon and possible ginger notes.

T - A slice of pumpkin rolled through butter and given life through an ale. Delicious and moderate. Not the most unique or exciting, but it serves it's purpose well, and could be enjoyed in quanitity.

M - just thick enough to be inviting. Not too carbonated, not too sweet and thick, just a refreshing, drinkable ale.

O - Pumpkin ales are a style that invite alot of different interpretation. This is an easy drinker, refreshing, and probably right for a six-pack kinda night
