On Tap at Taco Mac Decatur January 5, 2012. 16 Ounce Pour.

(Appearance) Beer pours a solid rusty copper with a thick foamy head of a white tone. Slightly hazy, with a meager level of small carbonation bubbles. Pretty nice. 4

(Smell) Very intriguing aroma. Aromas of mild smoke, spicy hops, nutmeg and dark fruits amongst a boozy charred rubber base. Very complex, quite potent. Well done balance. 4.5

(Taste) Wonderfully complex. Intense first sips; Mild smoke and molasses. Tastes of mild berry flavor and smoke on the finish. Finish is also a touch boozy and very sweet. All over, a tasty and interesting brew. 4

(Mouthfeel) Airy; very mild carbonation tingle, just enough to compliment the lighter aspects of this brew. It could be a touch more active, however. 4

(Overall) This is a very interesting brew and worth trying. There's tons of complexity and flavor, enough to stand this out from the other beers on the market. 4.5
