Poured from a 2010 bomber into a snifter

A- pours a pitch black, looks like oil, half finger fluffy khaki head appears a slowly dissipates to a thin layer on the surface, a very nice sticky ring of lace left on the side if the glass

S- mmm I love bourbon aged stouts, a very nice mix of dark chocolates, dark roasted malt, bourbon, a woodiness from the oak, a sweet mixture of vanilla is also mixed in, a strong alcohol hint hits the nose at the end

T- Dark roasted malt, bitter chocolate, somewhat chewy with a strong oak presence, very strong alcohol presence that somewhat overwhelms the flavor of the beer, the vanilla is only slightly detectable, pretty disappointed with the taste considering the smell

M- heavy body, high carbonation, slick and oily on the palate, pretty strong alcohol burn

D- overall this is a decent bourbon aged stout, it's no KBS but it's pretty solid, the alcohol has a tendency to overwhelm the beer
