A- Pours a hazed apricot color with an amazing soft bright white head that initially contains a lot of carbonation you can hear. Retention is awesome, doesn't want to die down. Soft, tight thin cap remains. Small spaced webed lacing coating the glass.

S- Belgian yeast, banana, lemon/orange peel, and spice. There's a fair bit of alcohol present, but it works with the other aromas.

T- There's a lot of alcohol/medicinal qualities in the flavor that I'm not a huge fan of. Underneath that it's got some good things going on. Nice wheat flavor, spice, and a touch of fruit. Not really digging the bitterness in the finish, it's more of a medicinal kind of bitterness as opposed to a hop bitterness.

M- The body is to thin for my liking, carbonation is above average and stings the tongue a bit. It's finish is extremly dry, feels like it's from the alcohol.

D- I just don't understand this one, it drinks like the abv is way higher than 9%. I just can't get passed the medicinal booziness qualities, they just don't work well with everything else. I expected more out of this one.

750mL bottle into a snifter
No born on/best before date

A: Pours a clear dark straw color with 3 fingers width of white head. Great retention and leaves lots of lacing.

S: Vinous, sweet, spicy. Belgian yeast esters, clove and white pepper spice, sweet fruits. There is a chalky, almost medicinal character that I can only describe as fruit flavored Tums. Some herbaceous/floral notes, like a country meadow. Really nice aroma here.

T: The initial flavor that hits my palate is a big vinous, white grape character, champagne-esque. This is followed by spice notes. I also get bakers chocolate, faint hop notes, citrusy orange.

M/D: Medium body, carbonation on the heavier side which is appropriate, ABV is well masked and drinkability is very good.

O: Good beer, well above average, but not great. I would definitely drink this again though.
