pours a golden orange with a bit of just barely off-white head that holds for a bit and leaves just a little lace. nose is a very pretty mix of grapefruit, pineapple and tropical fruit with just a hint of sweet, caramel malt in the background. taste is grapefruit juice and fruit with a proper sweetness and a pleasant bitterness. even though it is a relatively big beer, everything is turned up to the proper level. kind of like jazz dipa instead of metal ipa. good balance in other words. creamy, medium-full body. mild carbonation. alcohol is barely detectable. overall, actually one of the nicest beers i think i've ever tried from brooklyn. even though it is named for the soccer team i believe, it is quite a blast of hops, and quite a blast to drink.

On-tap at The Griffon. Served in a shaker pint...
A: Orange amber, with a thin off white head.
S: Pine, orange, white grapefruit, lemon peel.
T: Herby and citrusy with a piney foundation; light caramel malt background.
M: Medium feel and carbonaton.
O: A really nice Double IPA - had it once before at the Ballpark Festival of Beers. A nice brew from Brooklyn!
From notes - circa Charleston Beer Week

On tap. Pours orange with long lasting, fluffy white head. Aroma is of citrusy hops, caramel malt and ripe fruit. Body is full and tangy. Taste is similar to aroma with noticeable alcohol. Finish is long and dry. This brew will not be among my favorable DIPA’s.

On tap at Kickbacks in Jax. Poured into a snifter. Fluffy white head with high retention on a clear, light copper/gold body. Soapy and sticky lacing. Aroma is bursting with citrusy and piney hop juices. Quite lovely. Taste is nicely bittered with some malt sweetness in the background. Citrus dominates the hop profile, alcohol is well masked. Bitterness is there in flavor but not so biting that it's hard to drink. Great beer.
