Poured at a good temperature with a small, foamy, off-white head that settled to a ring and an island and no lace. Color is a clear gold with loads of bubble trails. Aroma is grain, beer, malt, hop, yeast. Flavor is like nose with moderate malt sweetness and strong carbonic tang up front and other stuff behind. Generally flavor is somewhat subdued. Body is good and carbonation perhaps a smidgen too strong. Finish is like flavor, tang lasts longest, and is an ok beer. Not as good as I recall from some years back in the late 80s, early 90s.

this is way better than all the other half liter euro beers ive been drinking all summer. aroma is almost like oatmeal, starchy and grainy, but not heavy. flavor is fresh baked, without any malt sweetness or filling qualities. delicious round finish that never turns bitter or metallic. mouthfeel is excellent and surprising. really foamy and creamy and smooth, not overcarbonated, but excited and jovial. served ice cold this is a pretty good beer, although its main criticism would be the alcohol content. too low to cop a good buzz on a handful of coins. overall a very enjoyable first beer after leaving sarajevo, a significant upgrade from many of the offerings there.

White gold with a loose but lumpy pure white head that settles but doesn't fade. Fresh baked bread crust nose with coriander underneath.
Sour grain of cheap lager up front with subtler cracker and yellow berry, then mild leaf and cut grass.
Spicy end and sweet linger. Light, fluffy, half crisp, dry enough.
"Svetly" means light, so I'm trying to rate this against light beer standards. It's incredibly thin, almost airy, even then, and there's room for more hops. But still not as bad as it could be, or as bad as any BMC light beer option.

I was able to bring a can of Kozel Svelty home from a recent trip to Czech Republic. The beer poured a pale yellow with a white foam head that didn’t dissipate too quickly. NO real lacing. The smell included malt and grain/yeast. The taste was mildly bitter with grain/barley support. In addition there was a touch of sweetness. The mouthfeel was medium body and light carbonation. Overall is was a decent Czech style beer.

T. mildly bitter, a hint of hay and a sweet aftertaste.
M: medium mouthfeel, light carbonation.
D: Pretty typical for a Pale Czech lager. Drinkable.

1.5L bottle consumed in CZ across the course of several hours during which there was a gadual increase in temperature.
A - golden yellow color with a white head:
S & M - rather typical Czech pilsner aroma and mouthfeel. Medium-light body with medium carbonation.
T - This beer seems to have a little more carbonation that makes it unique. Has some bitterness and a good kick as it goes down. But something about this one tastes a little better than other
O - a fairly typical light Czech lager, meaning a very good lager with no obvious flaws. This is what American macro lagers should taste like.

I got this Kozel made in Dreher brewery in Budapest.
Smell is very nice,sweet.
Ap. is typical for Czech pilsner, low carbonation and few seconds lasting foam.
Taste-medim bitter,it is very drinkable.
On my opinion, this is typical pilsner, this one is made in Hungary, but it taste very solid.

I had this one during a barbeque and i was surprised with the taste of this one. Not bad at all!
Poured in my Struise glass this beer looks good, nice and decent head which disappeared quit fast. Just like all the other i had from this region very little or no carbonation.
The taste is very balanced in my opinion. Malty and a bit sweet (but not too much).
Try it when you see it. Not a spectacular beer but in this style one of the better.

Slightly malty with a hint of fruity nose, reminding the Czech lager. Unfortunately, the first mouth does not taste but just a drink closer to water than beer. There is a slight bitterness in the finish but it is very dirty and mostly tasteless. Coming from the mythical city of Plzen in the Czech Republic, it is unfortunately far too small to claim to be the class of Czech pilsners

Had it at a bar in Prague.
A: Approching a neon yellow with a 3/4" head.
S: Dirty malth with a hint of sweetness.
T. First slightly tart and bitter, but quickly becomes sweet.
M: Initially a strong tartness that then mellows out. Light to medium bodied.
D: Disappointing for a Czech beer. But it's ok.

500ml bottle brought back from europe for me. drank out of my stone pint glass.
A- this one pours a clear golden colored body with a slight copper tint to it. a finger of white head forms on top and becomes no more than a skin on top of my glass in a couple of minutes. small spots of lacing are left behind.
S- a very mild smelling beer is the first thing i notice. very clean. sweet caramel and toffee malts. a little bit of noble hops at the end.
T- the taste is similar to the nose. semisweet caramel and toffee malts followed by a floral/herbal noble hops.
M- light to medium bodied with a high level of carbonation. crisp and clean. very refreshing.
D- easy to finish and something i could have a couple of if i had the chance. glad i got to try a beer i probably wont be able to buy in the states.

Beautiful foam, creamy. Limpid, clear golden blond color.
In the smell malt and some hop, a bit stale.
Same for the taste.
The bottle is near to the best before date, so not to fresh. A fresh bottle would be almost surely a bit better, and for sure a great drinkability beer.
Probaly some half point more, except for the appearance.

500ml bottle from Budapest
Pours pale golden with large head that for quite a long time remains dense and in one finger thickness. Leaves some thin and patchy lacing. Aroma is slightly fruity and grassy hops. Taste is quite simple, but well balanced bittery hops with light and long lasting bittery aftertaste. The beer is very refreshing.
Overall, very good Czech Pilsener.

Brought back from my girlfriend for me after a visit to the Czech Republic.
Appearance: Light, golden amber in color. Billowy white head that sticks around. Effervescent looking carbonation. No lace.
Smell: Grass, slight overripe fruit, generally mild aroma.
Taste: Light Saaz flavor prevails. Seems slightly watery. Bitterness is right for the style. Refreshing, at any rate.
Mouthfeel: Light, fizzy, but insipid finish & aftertaste.
Drinkability: Moderate on merits, but refreshing.

BB 22-03-07.Pale yellow collored beer with white head. Nose is fresh and fruity with bit of maltarome next to some hops. Taste is style like and pale watery but missing a strong bitter finish. One of the many good available brews from Czech republik for a big session in warm weather or on an eveningparty.

A friend brought me back several bottles of Kozel brews from her trip to the Czech Republic. Thanks for the effort, April!
This is a golden lager with a nice white head. It has the grassy aroma common to Czech beers with noticeable Saaz aromas.. The flavor is light, as expected, but certainly not flavorless. It has a good balance of malt flavors and hop bitterness.
This is a good light beer. If only American brewers would learn from the Czechs.
