Pours a clean yellow color with a white head. In the aroma, a faint skunkiness, sweet malt and kind of standard lager like smells. In the taste, a small dryness, a light malt, and actually no real taste at all. A smooth, and light and watery mouthfeel , with a small dry malt in the aftertaste. Thin, no real taste and lack there of aroma.

A- Gosser is a very pale lager, barely the color of ripe hay. Light carbonation supports a fluffy, bone white head. Retention is fairly decent, but not the best I've ever seen.

S- Aroma is malt forward in its own way. Aroma starts off bready, bordering on grainy. Center is sweet smelling, sort of floral and like honey. Buried behind all that is the faint aroma of hops, coning out as fresh cut grass and hay.

T- Gosser tastes very much like it smells. Gosser starts out bready, with hints of graininess. Then it moves on to a nicely rounded center, again showing hints of honey. Finish is short and dry with just a hint of hop presence. Hops come out faintly in the finish in the same grassy hay-like quality as in the aroma.

Overall, Gosser's not that bad of a lager. It's pleasant to the palate, center's rounded and sweet. Finish is just short and dry enough to make you ready for the next sip. All that being said, Gosser's not the worst lager I've had by a long shot. I just wouldn't mind if Gosser had a little more to offer in the finish.

12 oz bottle poured into a Nonic glass.

Appearance- Bright straw-orange-yellow color, very crisp and clear looking, typical of the stye. But a small head descended into a nice crown of foam on the beer that retained throught. I liked that. Light lacing held to the glass.

Smell- Very Lager, very grain, with possible subtle fruity undertones.

Taste= Nice and flavorful. To me most Euro Lagers tend to be a little boring, but this is nice and refreshing with still remaining a fuller flavor.

Overall- Seems like a decent beer to drink on hot summer day, but nothing stellar here.

A: Golden clear brew. Moderate carbonation.

S: Light to medium hop aroma.

T: Light grassy notes along with good pils graininess.

M: Light to medium mouthfeel.

O: A very good Austrian beer. Water might not be from an alpine source but nonetheless a quality lager. Recommended. In the grand scheme of things this a is a good example of a Pale Euro lager. Just not enough hopiness for a true pils but a good beer indeed.

I drank this lovely euro pale lager on tap two weeks ago. Today found the notes i made.

Gosser is a typical beer to drink in Tirol. I was nearby Innsbruck in Neustift. Drank the beer in the original glass, 0,5 liter.

The beer looks quit good in the glass, a nice and big white head and a yellow fluid. The beers looks like the most euro pale lagers, not spectacular, just ok.

Taste is fresh and some bread and citrusnotes far away. Drinkable beer!

Purchased this one from Koppa's Polish Grocer in Milwaukee.

Pale yellow pour, pourus head, bubbles not contained very well. Aroma was forestish.

Minimal effect on the taste buds. Good water, slight hops, malt, alcohol feel to it. Just not much to take away from this beer, too easy to drink, if the price weren't such a gouge. Must be made for the fizzy yellow beer market. Way too expensive for what this beer is.

a-Very pale with minimal head. Not sure if it was the glassware as I was at a friends using his stuff.

s-Some yeast type smells, slight maltiness.

t-Pretty unoffending-slight(very slight) hop bite with some slight citrus notes. Found it more bitter than malty which I enjoyed.

m-Pretty light, def a little watery when compared to other Euro lagers.

d-Very much so, Euro Macros are the same as North American Macros but maybe a little tastier...but both are without strong flavours and quite drinkable.

Appearance: bright with a pale golden color. The head is white, kind of low and frothy with an impaired retention.
Aroma: sweet, grainy and very malty. Very distant citrus notes.
Taste: again grains and lots of malts.
Mouthfeel: smooth, average carbonation, low alcoholic strength and light body.
Finish: not very long, almost sweet all the way with only a hint of bitterness when it is almost fading.
Overall: very weak on the hops. Missed the bitterness of a good pale lager. Not very refreshing. I looked for the auto-proclaimed sharp tang but could not find it.

Served in a Pokal. Best before date: 01/2011. Batch: L044A.400:34.

Appearance: Clear pale straw beer with a thick milky expresso like foam. Nice head retention and acceptable lacing. Light effervescence. They really took the time to make this beer shine, i should say.

Aroma: Aroma is of medium strength with a brisk profile of biscuits, flowers, resin and honey. A slight skunkiness is also detectable but it fades out eventually.

Taste: Lively on the tongue with a mild malty flavor on the front supported by citrusy and resiny undernotes. On the back you get suggestions of cider, vegetables and yeast dough.

Palate: Medium light to ligh bodied. Spritzy with medium carbonation. Low bitterness. Finishes dry-ish. Slight twang on the palate. Average acidity.

Drinkability: Not overly complex although that is something that really shouldn't be expected. Should make for a decent session beer and could go well with a number of more elaborate light salads. Very cheap even considering the overall quality.

On a side note, i would personally call it a Dortmunder rather than a generic lager.

500ml can, amongst all the other Euro-trash aluminum in the liquor store.

This beer pours a clear medium yellow hue, with one finger of soapy white head, which leaves a small mish-mash of lace around the glass as it quickly melts away. It smells of bready biscuit malt, and mild floral hops. The taste is bready malt, and grassy, somewhat skunky hops. The carbonation is fairly mild, the body medium weight, a bit cloying and prickly, and it finishes dry, with a bit of mild rising heat, and soft white grain sweetness.

A typical Euro-lager, some inherent skank, but offset well enough by the firm malt and noble hop backbone.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass

A: Light pale gold, pure white head, with foamy covering not much in terms of height

S: Faint sweet grain, slight metallic and/or tartness in the background

T: Very bland, starts out with basically no flavor, then turns into a sweet grain that is too sweet for me, its that weird grainy sweetness that isn't all that pleasant, the aftertaste is actually better as some bitterness comes through to cut the sweetness, although no actual hop flavor is present

M: Pretty thin, but the butteryness seems to cover it up

D: Not that great, but not terrible, average

12oz bottle poured into a chilled pint glass. A friend says that drinking this regularly was a highlight of her trip to Vienna. She was very happy to find it here in the states.

Clear straw yellow, thin white head that settles to a small fizz. Mostly light malts and silage on the nose, with hint of toffee. Taste is similar with silage and raw grains dominating. Light lemony finish.

Overall smooth, thin, subtle flavors. Very palatable, easy drinking. Finish leaves the mouth feeling clean. Easy drinking, but frankly not very interesting. Maybe it's better in Vienna.

I had at a new beer garden on a rooftop in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, but I can't remember the name.
A- It had a yellow color with lots of bubbles and was semi-opaque. Bubbly head with some lacing on top.
S- Wheaty and hoppy scent to it.
T- Some hoppy taste to it but it is really quite plain. It's not bad but it just doesn't do anything. Very average.

A: The beer pours straw-coloured with a white loose head that "dies" pretty quickly, leaving some lacings.

S: Faint malt, faint hops - not much else.

T: A little bit of the basics - a little malt, a little hops (floral), and some fruit (mostly citrus).

M: This one dies fast, its thin with some carbonic acids.

D: This isn't worth the effort. There are so many nice beers to enjoy. This is not a bad beer, but an uninteresting one.
