Poured on-tap at the Red Door in Watertown, Conn.

A: Poured a clear, straw yellow with a thin veil of carbonation which left a bit of soapy lace but disappeared less than 5 sips into the beer.

S: Smells like sweet cooked corn and a bit of zesty grains.

T: Taste is presented with a quick flash of sweet grains followed by a little acrid bitterness before finishing slightly sweet and sticky, but causes a bit of afterburn.

M: Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied and not to hard to drink a few.

D: Sessionable ABV, usually pretty cheap and no out of whack flavors make it a decent macro lager, but nothing I'd pick up or store in my fridge.

No frills but not bad for a cheap-o lager. As iconic as the beer is, it's tough to see the price go up as the cult following emerges after this classic. Better than BMC, but still not a great choice at the fridge.

Great for the price..That's about it..

Smell: Very little smell of anything particular

Mouthfeel - pretty non existent body, carbonated a bit on the higher side.

For one of the cheapers beers to buy, its not bad, and does its job.

Whenever I go to a concert, this is the beer I drink. I'm always excited to give PBR one more chance as my favorite cheap beer, but it never impresses me. PBR is an extremely heavy beer and would not even consider it a session beer. I'd still rather drink Coors or RR for hours on end.
